Headed to New York
Hartenstein agreed to terms on a two-year, $16.7 million deal with the Knicks on Thursday, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Hartenstein had his most productive NBA season in 2021-22 with the Clippers, appearing in 68 games and averaging 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 blocks across 17.9 minutes per contest. He'll likely rotate with Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson -- assuming he returns -- and the rest of the Knicks' frontcourt in 2022-23 as he looks to further improve his production in what will be his fifth NBA season.

Barely used in loss
Hartenstein totaled zero points (0-1 FG), two rebounds and one assist over seven minutes during Tuesday's 109-104 loss to the Timberwolves.
Impact
Hartenstein wasn't a victim of foul trouble or poor shooting. He simply disappeared from the rotation altogether with only seven minutes on the court. The result is confusing when you consider his recent production. Coming into Tuesday's contest, Hartenstein averaged 23.7 minutes of court time over a 10-game span, and averaged 11.0 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists over that period. The massive usage reduction should have meant better numbers for Ivica Zubac, but he also struggled with the first unit. Since there is no clear reason for the change, Hartenstein will be a riskier fantasy option in the team's upcoming elimination game.

Leads team with seven rebounds
Hartenstein posted 14 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one steal across 26 minutes during Tuesday's 121-115 victory over the Jazz.
Impact
The Jazz out-rebounded the Clippers 38-33, and Hartenstein did his best to keep the margin close with seven boards and 14 points in 26 minutes. At 7-0 and 250 pounds, Hartenstein appeared to match up better against Rudy Gobert, and although Zubac is in no danger of losing his job, Hartenstein possesses some fantasy value on a matchup by matchup basis.

Multi-category contributions in loss
Hartenstein ended Tuesday's 127-115 loss to the Nuggets with 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-4 FT), five assists, two rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 24 minutes.
Impact
With the exception of three-pointers, Hartenstein made his mark on nearly every major statistical category Tuesday. His contributions in the two defensive categories and in field-goal percentage were particularly useful, and make Hartenstein a name worth tracking in 12-team leagues. He's now received at least 20 minutes in four straight games and may have moved into more of a timeshare with starting center Ivica Zubac.

Posts strong all-around effort
Hartenstein totaled four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), nine rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and two steals over 25 minutes during Friday's 121-92 loss to the Jazz.
Impact
Hartenstein didn't do much offensively in the blowout loss, but he nonetheless put together a productive performance off the bench. The big man led Los Angeles in rebounds, assists and blocked shots, chipping in a pair of steals for good measure. Hartenstein entered the contest averaging 9.8 points, 5.3 boards, 2.4 dimes, 1.4 blocks and 0.8 steals over 20.6 minutes across his previous 12 games, so he appears to be set for an important role as the team approaches a spot in the play-in tournament.

Clears 20 minutes again
Hartenstein finished with 10 points (4-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block across 26 minutes Tuesday in the Clippers' 112-97 loss to the Wa...
Impact
Hartenstein seems to have moved into a near-even timeshare at center with starter Ivica Zubac of late; both big men have ranged between 19 and 26 minutes in the Clippers' first four contests of the month. While the lack of major playing time hasn't enabled him to post any truly eye-popping lines, Hartenstein's averages of 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks to go with 75 percent shooting from the field are enough to make him worthy of a roster spot in 12-team leagues.
