Impact A sore knee sidelined the rookie for the Pacers' most recent scrimmage, and he's now on course to miss most, if not all, of the team's seeding games, which begin Saturday against Philadelphia. Bitadze was not a major factor in the rotation for much of the regular season, but he likely would've been in line for increased minutes in the expected absence of Domantas Sabonis (foot), who's currently away from the team while seeking treatment.

Impact A sore knee has prevented the rookie from participating in any practices thus far, and he'll miss Indiana's first scrimmage as well. The Pacers' next scrimmage is Sunday against the Mavericks, but if Bitadze wants to play, he'll have to practice before then.

Until further notice, it seems like his participation in the Pacers' first seeding game, Aug. 1 against the 76ers, might be in jeopardy.

Tending to soft-tissue issue Bitadze was withheld from practice Monday with what Pacers head coach Nate McMillan called a soft-tissue injury, Scott Agness of The Athletic reports.

Impact According to Mark Montieth of the Pacers' official site, Bitadze hasn't practiced in the past week due to the injury, so he's unlikely to be available for the team's first exhibition in Orlando on Thursday versus the Trail Blazers. McMillan didn't seem overly concerned about Bitadze's injury, which the coach believes is a byproduct of the big man working himself back into game shape after the NBA's four-plus-month hiatus. Assuming he's good to go when the Pacers resume their regular season Aug. 1 versus the 76ers, Bitadze will handle a depth role in the frontcourt.
