Dereck Lively II - Out again Lively (hip) won't play in Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
Impact Lively will miss a second straight contest due to a left hip bruise. Daniel Gafford started and 29 minutes in place of Lively on Friday and should remain in the first unit Saturday. With P.J. Washington and Naji Marshall suspended, Dwight Powell and Markieff Morris could also expanded roles.

P.J. Washington Jr. - Dealt one-game suspension Washington has been issued a one-game suspension for his role in an on-court altercation during Friday's game against Phoenix.
Impact Naji Marshall and Jusuf Nurkic initiated the altercation and exchanged strikes, prompting Washington to step in and push Nurkic to the floor. Washington will serve his suspension Saturday at Portland, meaning the next time he'll be available to take the floor will be Monday against the Kings. With Marshall also sidelined for Saturday's contest, Maxi Kleber, Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Quentin Grimes should see more minutes.

Naji Marshall - Suspended four games The NBA announced Saturday that Marshall has been suspended for four games due to an on-court altercation with Jusuf Nurkic.
Impact Marshall had already been ejected from Friday's contest against Portland after punching Nurkic in the face with 9:02 remaining in the third quarter. Marshall also attempted to further engage with Nurkic in a hostile manner in the corridor outside the locker rooms. Marshall will remain sidelined until Jan. 6 against Memphis. Maxi Kleber, Dwight Powell and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence.

Jaden Hardy - Gets garbage-time run Friday Hardy (ankle) scored zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and recorded no other statistics while playing the final 52 seconds of Friday's 98-89 win over the Suns.
Impact Hardy had missed six straight games with a right ankle sprain before being cleared to play ahead of Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves. He was left out of the rotation for Dallas' 105-99 loss to Minnesota, but Hardy looked to be a candidate to get some minutes Friday with Luka Doncic having been ruled out for at least the next month. However, even with Doncic sidelined Friday and with Naji Marshall and PJ Washington getting ejected midway through the third quarter, the Mavericks didn't turn to Hardy until the last minute of the contest. Hardy thus looks like he'll continue to remain outside of the rotation while Spencer Dinwiddie and Quentin Grimes see most of the backup minutes at guard behind backcourt starters Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson.
