Impact McCollum reached the 32-point mark for a second time in consecutive days, as the Lehigh product once again led his new squad in scoring. It was also McCollum's third straight performance dishing out at least eight assists, and he's currently on pace to set a new career high in that category. The guard is averaging 28.0 points across his past four games.

Even while drawing extensive attention defensively and putting up 20-plus shots for the first time since Feb. 17, McCollum produced his points efficiently and committed only three turnovers. The Pelicans have already ruled out Ingram for Wednesday's game against the Magic, setting up McCollum for an oversized role once again.

Impact Since the Pelicans moved Devonte' Graham to the bench shortly before the All-Star break and shifted McCollum over to point guard, the latter has unsurprisingly seen a nice uptick in assists. In the six games since Graham exited the starting five, McCollum is averaging 6.8 dimes per contest, well up from his season-long average (4.9). So long as the lineup arrangement remains in place, McCollum should continue to benefit from elevated assist totals, in addition to serving as one of the Pelicans' main scoring options alongside Brandon Ingram.
