Yuta Watanabe - Set to return Saturday Nets coach Jacque Vaughn said Watanabe (hamstring) "is on track" to play Saturday against the Pacers, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports.
Impact Watanabe is out for Friday's game against the Hawks but expected to play Saturday against Indiana. The 28-year-old forward has been out since Nov. 20, so he'll likely be limited in his return to action.

Impact Simmons has missed nearly two weeks due to his calf issue, so it's not a big surprise that the coaching staff will take things easy for the oft-injured forward. Simmons' return should help ease the blow of losing Claxton for Friday's game, though Markieff Morris, Day'Ron Sharpe and T.J. Warren will likely need to assist filling in the remaining minute gaps and could see additional run again with Simmons out Saturday.

Impact Claxton's absence will leave a 28.0-minute-per-game void in the frontcourt for the Nets on Friday. Fortunately, the team is in pretty good shape otherwise, so look for Markieff Morris, Day'Ron Sharpe, Ben Simmons (returning from calf injury Friday), and T.J. Warren to absorb his minutes. It remains to be seen if Claxton's hamstring issue is minor enough to allow him to return for the second game of a back-to-back set Saturday versus the Pacers.
