INJURIES

Minutes expected to rise Saturday Ingram is expected to see more minutes Saturday against the Wizards than the 26 he received during Wednesday's return against the Timberwolves, Christian Clark of The New Orleans T...
Impact Ingram was rusty in his return, going 4-for-18 from the field and committing four turnovers, but coach Willie Green isn't worried and will give the forward more action in his second game back. In the 11 games prior to Ingram's injury, he averaged 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 34.9 minutes.

Looks rusty in return Ingram (toe) logged 13 points (4-18 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 111-102 loss to the Timberwolves.
Impact After sitting out the Pelicans' last 29 contests while on the mend from a bruised left toe, Ingram unsurprisingly struggled with his efficiency in his first game action in two months. He came up empty on all six of his shot attempts from long range, marking just the third time all season he failed to knock down a three-point shot. On a positive note, Ingram saw a healthy amount of playing time in his first game back, and he should see his minutes load ramp up in the games to come as he becomes further removed from the toe injury.

Pelicans' Ingram rusty in return from 2-month absence

Brandon Ingram is back in the New Orleans Pelicans’ starting lineup for the first time since late November
JANUARY 26, 2023 • Associated Press
Starting in return Ingram (toe) will start Wednesday's contest against the Timberwolves, but he's expected to play around 24 minutes during his first game action since Nov. 25, Jennifer Hale of Bally...
Impact As expected, Ingram will return to the Pelicans' starting lineup Wednesday following a lengthy absence due to a left bruised toe. Given his minutes restriction, it may be difficult for fantasy managers to trust Ingram right away, but New Orleans presumably wouldn't thrust Ingram back into action unless he was ready to handle a solid role. Before suffering the injury, Ingram had averaged 21.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 34.9 minutes over his previous 11 appearances.
JANUARY 26, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Listed probable for Wednesday The Pelicans officially list Ingram (toe) as probable for Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves.
Impact Supporting what Shams Charania of The Athletic reported earlier Wednesday, Ingram looks poised to put an end to his two-month absence against the Timberwolves, provided he doesn't experience any setbacks with his bruised left big toe while warming up ahead of the 8 p.m. ET opening tip. Even if Ingram reclaims his usual starting role on the wing, he'll most likely be on some sort of minutes limit Wednesday, given that he's been sidelined for each of the Pelicans' last 29 games and may need more time to regain full conditioning.

Pelicans' Ingram set for return from 2-month absence Ingram's return comes at a time where the Pelicans are without Zion Williamson.
JANUARY 25, 2023 • THEATHLETIC.COM
On track to play Wednesday Ingram (toe) is expected to play Wednesday against the Timberwolves, barring a setback in pregame warmups, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Impact Ingram has been sidelined for the past two months with a bruised left big toe, but he finally turned a corner over the past few days, when head coach Willie Green said the 25-year-old was able to take part in full-contact, 5-on-5 work in practice. Because of his lengthy layoff, Ingram will most likely be on a minutes restriction of some kind Wednesday, provided he avoids a setback leading up to the 8 p.m. ET opening tip. Ingram's impending return could result in fewer minutes to go around for the likes of Trey Murphy, Naji Marshall (toe), Jose Alvarado and Dyson Daniels (ankle), all of whom have stepped into heightened roles while the one-time All-Star has been out.

Pelicans: Williamson out 2 more weeks with hamstring injury

The New Orleans Pelicans say Zion Williamson is expected to be out at least two more weeks following a re-evaluation of his right hamstring injury

Out again Tuesday Ingram (toe) will not play Tuesday versus the Nuggets, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Impact Another night, another absence for Ingram, who hasn't taken the floor since Nov. 25 in Memphis. There is no official timetable for his return, so it's best to consider him doubtful to play each night until there is something to suggest that might change. His next opportunity to suit up arrives Wednesday against the Timberwolves, though it seems highly unlikely.
JANUARY 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Unlikely to play Tuesday Ingram (toe) is doubtful for Tuesday's matchup against the Nuggets, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
Impact Ingram, who hasn't played since Nov. 25 due to a bruised left big toe, recently began participating in full-contact practices again and is planning on returning to action during the Pelicans' upcoming three-game home set. He'll likely remain sidelined for Tuesday's matchup, and if that's the case, Ingram's next chance to suit up would come Wednesday against Minnesota. However, it appears that a more likely scenario would be Ingram returning for the final contest of the homestand Saturday against Washington so that he can get a few more days of practice in before being thrust into game action.

Plans to play during homestand Ingram (toe) went through a full 5-on-5 practice Monday and plans to return during the Pelicans' upcoming three-game homestand that opens Tuesday, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New...
Impact Ingram hasn't played since Nov. 25 due to a bruised left big toe, but he recently began participating in full-contact practices again and appears on the verge of returning to game action. However, the star forward said his availability will come down to pain tolerance, so it may take him awhile to get back to his usual self. The Pelicans' three-game home stand begins with a back-to-back set against Denver and Minnesota on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, and ends Saturday versus Washington. The Saturday game may be the most realistic target for Ingram's return given that it would give him another opportunity to practice beforehand.

Practices, but still out Pelicans head coach Willie Green said Ingram (toe) participated in 5-on-5 work during practice Saturday but remains out for Sunday's game against the Heat, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com...
Impact Updates on Ingram have been scarce and infrequent while he hasn't played since Nov. 25 due to a bruised left big toe, but Green's comments finally offer some hope that the veteran wing's return to game action could be imminent. Following Sunday's contest in Miami, the Pelicans will travel home for a three-game set, which begins Tuesday against Denver and ends Saturday against Washington. It's possible Ingram plays sometime during that stretch, but more information on his availability moving forward will likely come following Sunday's contest and the team's practice Monday.

JANUARY 22, 2023 • THEATHLETIC.COM
Still out Sunday Ingram (toe) remains out Sunday against the Heat.
Impact Ingram has yet to practice as of Jan. 10, but the Pelicans continue to take his status on a game-to-game basis. The forward hasn't played since Nov. 25, and it's unclear when he may return.
JANUARY 21, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Still out Friday Ingram (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Magic, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
Impact Ingram continues to deal with a bruised left toe and hasn't suited up since Nov. 25. Although the Pelicans continue to evaluate him on a game-by-game basis, it's not yet clear when the 25-year-old will be able to return to game action.
JANUARY 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Sidelined again Wednesday Ingram (toe) remains out for Wednesday's game versus the Heat, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Impact Ingram still hasn't appeared in a game since Nov. 25, and there doesn't look to be a clear timetable for his return at this juncture. The 25-year-old star's status should be monitored ahead of each game, but there hasn't been any news on him returning to practice yet. Until that happens, Ingram will seemingly remain on the sidelines.

Return not coming Monday Ingram (toe) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Cavaliers, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The team previously expressed optimism Ingram would return during the current five-game road trip, but that won't come to fruition with the trip coming to an end Monday in Cleveland. The 25-year-old still appears close to making his return, but he'll need to wait until at least Wednesday's matchup with the Heat.

Valanciunas scores 33 points, Pelicans beat Pistons 116-110

Jonas Valanciunas scored 13 of his 33 points in the first quarter and the New Orleans Pelicans went on to beat the Detroit Pistons 116-110 Friday night
JANUARY 14, 2023 • Associated Press
Remains out Friday Ingram (toe) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons, Jim Eichenhofer of the Pelicans' official site reports.
Impact The Pelicans recently expressed hope that Ingram would be able to return during the team's current five-game road trip, but Monday's game in Cleveland will be his final chance to do so before the team returns home to face the Heat on Wednesday. He hasn't suited up since Nov. 25, so it seems likely that he'll face a minutes restriction once he's cleared to return.
