Brandon Ingram has carried the Pelicans before without Zion Williamson. Can he do it again? No Zion and the season on the line? Brandon Ingram has been here before. Can he carry the Pelicans again? “He’s going to be awesome."

Limited in loss Tuesday Ingram chipped in 11 points (4-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 Play-In Game loss to the Lakers.
Impact Ingram was noticeably absent during the fourth quarter, an indication that he is still bothered by a knee injury that cost him the final three weeks of the regular season. New Orleans will now have to win Friday's game against the winner of the Sacramento and Golden State matchup, should they hope to advance to the postseason. While it is likely Ingram will get the starting nod, there is a chance he remains limited based on what we saw Tuesday.

Scores 13 points in return Sunday Ingram closed with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and five rebounds over 23 minutes during Sunday's 124-108 loss to the Lakers.
Impact Ingram didn't look particularly rusty, as he made six of nine shots from the field in Sunday's loss, but with the way the game unfolded, and considering this was Ingram's first appearance since March 21, the Pelicans opted to handle his minutes in a more conservative way. If he doesn't suffer any setbacks between Monday and early Tuesday, then Ingram should be ready to handle a prominent workload, perhaps as the Pelicans' second option on offense behind Zion Williamson, in the Play-In matchup against the Lakers on Tuesday.

Pelicans wing Brandon Ingram returns from a knee injury in regular-season finale against the Lakers

New Orleans Pelicans coach Willie Green says high-scoring wing Brandon Ingram is returning for the club's regular season finale against the Los Angeles Lakers
APRIL 14, 2024 • Associated Press
Available for season finale Ingram (knee) is available to play in Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Lakers, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Impact Ingram has been sidelined with a bruised left knee since March 22 and missed 12 games as a result. The star forward is expected to have a slight minute restriction, but not a heavy one, according to Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune.
APRIL 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Could play in season finale Ingram (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Impact Ingram has yet to return to the court since suffering a nagging knee injury in late March, but he was always considered an option to play in the final game of the regular season. His presence would provide a huge boost for the Pelicans on both ends of the court, but it's unclear how much of a workload he'd be able to handle -- if he's available at all.
APRIL 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Another absence coming Ingram (knee) won't play in Friday's game versus the Warriors.
Impact Ingram will miss his 12th straight game Friday while dealing with a left knee contusion. His last chance to suit up before the end of the regular season is Sunday's matchup with the Lakers.

Still sidelined Ingram (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Kings.
Impact Although Ingram appears to be nearing a return and has been ramping up his practice participation, he won't be able to return for Thursday's contest. He'll have two more opportunities to take the hardwood before the playoffs: Friday at Golden State and Sunday against the Lakers.
APRIL 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out at least two more games The Pelicans announced that Ingram (knee) will miss at least two more games.
Impact Ingram was re-evaluated Saturday morning and has been cleared to begin individual on-court workouts. He will gradually increase the intensity as he progresses, and a return-to-play date has yet to be determined. Based on this news, the earliest possible return date for Ingram is April 11 against the Kings.

Could return late next week Ingram is scheduled to be re-evaluated later this week, and the Pelicans are hopeful that he'll be able to return to action at around the three-week mark of his recovery from the l...
Impact Charania's report comes after Pelicans head coach Willie Green noted Monday that Ingram was able to run on a treadmill and continues to increase his activities daily as he works his way back from a left knee bone contusion, according to Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans. Ingram is expected to get his knee re-examined Thursday or Friday -- two weeks after he suffered the injury -- and if doctors are satisfied with how he's healed thus far, the 26-year-old could start to increase the intensity of his workouts. If the report of the three-week mark being the target for his return proves to be accurate, Ingram could be back in action as soon as April 11 in Sacramento, though the Pelicans would probably prefer to save him for the second leg of the back-to-back set (April 12 at Golden State). If Ingram plays one half of that back-to-back set, he would then be able to get one more game under his belt in the April 14 regular-season finale versus the Lakers before the Pelicans take part in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament or a first-round playoff matchup.

Optimism for in-season return Ingram (knee) ran during his workout Monday and continues to ramp up daily, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Impact Ingram ascended to light on-court work Friday, so he continues gradually progressing from a left knee contusion. Contusions can be serious injuries when crushing muscle fibers or giving the bone stress trauma, so his recovery going smoothly bodes well. New Orleans has eight games remaining on the schedule, with the season finale coming April 14 versus the Lakers. Ingram could return sooner, but his timeline is unclear.

Gets on-court work in Friday Coach Willie Green said Ingram (knee) was able to do some on-court work during Friday's practice, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Impact Ingram is one week removed from being diagnosed with a bone contusion in his left knee. He was expected to miss at least two weeks but appears to be handling rehab well. Trey Murphy has moved into the starting lineup in Ingram's absence, but Naji Marshall also figures to get an uptick in playing time until the star forward can return. Despite the positive update, Ingram will remain out for Saturday's game against Boston.

Out at least two weeks Ingram suffered a bone contusion in his left knee Thursday against the Magic and is expected to miss at least two weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Impact Ingram departed Thursday's game in the third quarter, and while he appears to have avoided a severe injury, he's still likely facing a multi-week absence. Trey Murphy and Naji Marshall are candidates to see increased run while Ingram is sidelined, and if the Pelicans can secure a playoff spot in early April, the team may give the 26-year-old additional time to rest ahead of the postseason.

Won't return Thursday Ingram (knee) won't return to Thursday's game against the Magic, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. He finished with 14 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists...
Impact There aren't many details yet, other than the fact that Ingram is dealing with a left knee injury after appearing to hyperextend it. It's not a surprise to see that his night is over, considering that his teammates had to help him to the locker room. In Ingram is forced to miss additional time, the Pelicans would need guys like Trey Murphy and Naji Marshall to soak up more minutes.

Injures left knee Thursday Ingram appeared to injure his left knee during Thursday's game against Orlando, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
Impact Ingram appeared to hyperextend his left knee and was in visible pain. He was able to put a bit of weight on his leg, but he needed a lot of assistance to get back to the locker room. There should be an official update from the Pelicans soon.

Pops for 20 against Cavs Ingram posted 20 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-95 loss to the Cavaliers.
Impact The Pelicans' offense was a two-man show Wednesday, as Ingram and Zion Williamson (33 points) were the only two New Orleans players to score more than 11. Ingram had averaged just 12.0 points over the prior three contests, and he may not be completely over the ankle injury that cost him the first two games coming out of the All-Star break -- he hasn't attempted more than two three-pointers in five straight games. Despite that reduction in long-range attempts, since his return Ingram is averaging 20.8 points, 5.9 assists, 5.6 boards, 1.1 threes and 0.8 steals.
