Thunder Forward Aleksej Pokusevski has Found Middle Ground Serbian forward Aleksej Pokusevski is seeing his most consistent stretch of basketball yet.
Posts strong all-around line Pokusevski ended with nine points (4-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 131-110 loss to the Kings.
Impact Pokusevski struggled from the field, but he made up for the lack of scoring with across-the-board contributions in other areas. The 20-year-old led OKC in rebounds, finished second in assists and was the only player on the team to register multiple steals and blocks. Perhaps most positively, Pokusevski logged 26 minutes of court time -- his highest mark in his past three contests. Given his ability to contribute across multiple categories, Pokusevski could be a game-changer in fantasy down the stretch if he consistently sees minutes in the mid-20s or above.

Impact Pokusevski took a bit of a step back Thursday, turning in a somewhat empty performance in the loss. His playing time has been up and down over the past few games, allowing him to tantalize us with his fantasy upside. Despite the intrigue, it does not appear as though he is going to play enough on a regular basis to warrant anything more than a deeper league roster spot. However, managers will want to keep an eye on the rotation in Oklahoma City, just in case he moves up the pecking order as we approach the silly season.

Impact Pokusevski struggled a bit from deep but still provided a strong scoring effort off the bench. The former first-round pick has scored in double digits in each of his last three appearances and is moving in the right direction, as he had achieved that feat just three times this year prior to his recent hot streak.

Impact After a one-game stint in the G League, Pokusevski returned to the Thunder to have one of his best games this season. The 20-year-old ended tied for the lead in scoring for the Thunder alongside Theo Maledon. Pokusevski recorded a season high in points and three-pointers as well as making a mark defensively with two blocks and a season-high four steals. Although it shouldn't be expected, the young forward may be in line for a more secure spot in the rotation if he can string together performances like this one.

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Aaron Wiggins both sidelined due to ankle injuries, Pokusevski may have an opportunity to crack coach Mark Daigneault's rotation. He's only made one appearance at the NBA level -- Feb. 5 against the Kings -- since Jan. 9, but he tallied 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt), nine rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes during that contest.

Assigned to G League The Thunder assigned Pokusevski to the G League's Oklahoma City Blue on Monday, Rylan Stiles of BricktownBuckets.com reports.
Impact Pokusevski could go from in the rotation to inactive for the Thunder in the span of two games, after he logged 26 minutes and finished with 12 points, nine rebounds and three assists in Saturday's 113-103 loss to the Kings in his first appearance at the NBA level since Jan. 9. Since the Blue's game against the Agua Caliente Clippers tips off at 1 p.m. ET on Monday, Pokusevski could rejoin the Thunder ahead of the team's home game versus the Warriors, which begins at 8 pm. ET. Even so, the Thunder likely won't make Pokusevski available outside of an emergency, given that he's expected to log heavy minutes for the Blue earlier in the day. Oklahoma City will likely turn to Darius Bazley and Kenrich Williams as its main options at power forward Monday if Luguentz Dort (nose) -- who is listed as questionable -- is forced to miss a second straight game.
