Not Returning to Petty GMS Dillon announced via Twitter Friday afternoon that he will not return as driver of the No. 42 for Petty GMS Racing next season.

Impact No plans for his immediate future were announced, but Dillon made it clear that he was thankful for his time at Petty GMS and the two parties have mutually agreed to go their separate ways. Noah Gragson is considered a favorite to replace Dillon in the No. 42 Chevrolet in 2023.
