Impact Piastri would get away clean at the lights out as Verstappen and Norris squabbled over P2. That would allow the young McLaren driver to scoot away and build a decent margin back to the other drivers. There was plenty of action back in the pack throughout this GP but Piastri would stay out in front of it with excellent pace and pit strategy to keep him clear of the fray playing out behind him. The young driver would take the checkered flag nearly 2.5-seconds ahead of Norris for his fifth victory of the season.

Wins Spanish GP Pole Piastri won the pole for the Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 1:11.546.
Impact Piastri has been consistently fast all weekend in the various practice sessions and it translated well to pole qualifying. The McLaren youngster would easily advance to Q3 and post a session low of 1:11.546 to edge Lando Norris by two-tenths and Max Verstappen by three-tenths. Piastri will be the driver to beat on Sunday in Barcelona.
