Impact The McLaren youngster would make some aggressive moves at the lights out and would seize the lead from Kimi Antonelli. Piastri would lead the opening 22 circuits until the safety car would be deployed for a heavy Oliver Bearman crash. During pit stops under the safety car, Piastri would lose the lead to Antonelli. From there, he'd chase the Mercedes driver all the way to the finish. It was Piastri's first podium result of the young season.

Piastri looks like a podium threat for Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.

Impact Piastri would start fourth on the grid and look to makeup for the disastrous start to his weekend in Brazil.
