Wins Daytona Duel 2
Buescher won the Bluegreen Vacations Duel 2 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway Thursday night.
Impact
The second duel race would see a lot of lead changes in the run up to pit stops. However, things would settle into a display of Ford dominance after the only round of stops in this 60-lap race. Joey Logano would appear to be on the way to victory, but a late block of Buescher on the last lap would send the No. 22 Ford spinning and crashing into the wall. The driver of the No. 17 Ford would take the caution flag with the lead and the victory. It was Buescher's first win in the Duels, and it gave Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing a sweep of both qualifying races Thursday night.

Third at Charlotte Roval
Buescher finished third in the Bank of America Roval 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
Impact
The Roush Fenway Racing veteran has good road racing skills and he showed it on the Roval Sunday in Charlotte. Buescher raced in the middle teens for the most of the event, but he would push deep into the Top 10 late in stage 3. The final 8 laps of green-flag racing would see the driver of the No. 17 Ford secure third-place and keep Kyle Busch behind him all the way to the checkered flag. It was Buescher's first Top-5 finish of the 2021 season.

Runner-up Finish at Daytona
Buescher finished second in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway Saturday night.
Impact
The Roush Fenway Racing veteran shook off some recent bad luck on the big ovals and turned in a great performance Saturday night at Daytona. Buescher would get good track position late and battle among the leaders. The big one would happen late and extend the race into overtime. Buescher would battle for the win and would make it through the last lap crash coming to the finish. The runner-up performance was his first Top 5 of the season.

With his 20th-place finish, Buescher will get to start from the pole position for Sunday's 350-mile follow up race. Starting from rear Sunday
Buescher is starting from the rear in Sunday's Cup Series race at COTA due to unapproved adjustments with his No. 17 Ford, Jim Utter of Motorsport.com reports.
Impact
Nearly a quarter of the field is heading to the rear for unapproved adjustments as Buescher is one of nine drivers to be penalized. He qualified for the 28th position and was already in an undesirable starting spot, so him starting in the rear shouldn't make a major difference on where he would've ended up.
