Runner-up Finish at Indianapolis
Cindric finished second in the Verizon 200 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course Sunday.
Impact
The Penske Racing youngster started on the outside pole and raced among the leaders all afternoon at the Indianapolis road circuit. Cindric didn't lead any laps but he'd keep close touch with the front for the full 86 laps. The race would end in overtime with Cindric actually crossing the finish line third, but he'd be promoted to second-place by NASCAR after Ross Chastain violated track limits. It was his fourth Top 5 of the season.

Cindric was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Verizon 200 NASCAR Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course Saturday. He turned a fast lap of 98.467 mph.
Impact
The Penske Racing youngster topped this lone practice at the Indy road course Saturday. Cindric edged Daniel Suarez to top the scoring pylon on this challenging road circuit. The driver of the No. 2 Ford looks like a Top-5 threat for Sunday's Verizon 200.

Loudon Penalty
NASCAR officials penalized the No. 2 Team Penske Ford team Wednesday for a lost wheel during last weekend's Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Impact
Cindric lost a wheel shortly after stage 2 pit stops at the New Hampshire short track on Sunday. As a result, NASCAR has penalized Cindric's team. Crew chief, Jeremy Bullins, and crew members Curtis Thompson and Patrick Gray have been suspended for the next four events. This will be a big blow for the young Penske Racing driver as we enter the stretch run to the end of the regular season.
