Third in Italian Grand Prix Piastri finished third in the Italian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Monza Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The McLaren youngster would fall under immediate pressure from Charles Leclerc from the start and surrender P3 to him on lap 2. However, Piastri would rally back on lap 6 and overtake the Ferrari star to reclaim third-place. He would settle in and build a gap back to Leclerc and solidify his hold on P3. Piastri would pit on lap 45, one lap before Lando Norris and would get into P2 as a result of Norris' poor pit stop. Team orders would have Piastri give the spot back down the stretch and he would end up finishing third on the day. It was his series-leading 14th podium of the season.

Impact PIastri got off well at the lights out and held onto the lead after Lando Norris would surrender P2 to Max Verstappen on the opening lap. The grand prix would be marked by raindrops at times and differing strategies so it would be incredibly entertaining, but Piastri would manage to control the lead for the full event. A late safety car and restart would add some spice to the finish but Piastri would be successful in holding Verstappen at bay to collect his seventh victory of the season.

The McLaren youngster set the pace in Q1 and that would set the tone for the entire qualifying session. Piastri would log a lap of 1:08.662 during Q3 and edge Norris to claim pole position at the Zandvoort circuit. It was another front row lockout for McLaren and a sign of things to come in Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix.

Runner-up Finish in Budapest Piastri finished second in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday.
Impact The McLaren youngster started second on the grid and could not get past Charles Leclerc in the opening laps for the lead. Piastri would settle into P2 and elect for a two-stop pit strategy, in contrast to his teammate. Once he bolted on fresh tyres in the final third of the grand prix he would begin to track down the leaders. Piastri would get around Charles Leclerc and then set his sights on leader, Lando Norris. He would close hard on his teammate for the win but would come up just seven-tenths short at the checkered flag. It was PIastri's 12th podium of the season.

The duo were more than four-tenths ahead of the Ferrari pair of Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. PIastri looks like a top contender to win Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix.

Impact The race would be delayed around 80 minutes in starting due to heavy rain. Once underway, it would be a wet-dry affair. Piastri would get around Norris on lap 1 and run out to a reasonable lead. Teams would begin switching from intermediate tyres to slicks around lap 12 and some different strategies would play out. Piastri would pick to do the remainder of the race on one set of hard tyres and the gambit would pay off. He would hold off the charging Norris over the closing laps for the win at Spa-Francorchamps.

Verstappen would set the early marker to beat and Piastri would soon eclipse his time. The McLaren youngster would post a lap of 1:40.510 to beat out the Red Bull Racing star by nearly a half-second. Piastri will start P1 for Saturday's Sprint at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit and be the driver to beat.

Impact Verstappen would set the initial best lap but once the soft tyres rolled out it would be PIastri that would climb to the top of the timing sheets. The McLaren youngster would log a lap of 1:42.022 which would be four-tenths ahead of the Red Bull Racing star. Piastri looked very strong in this practice and should be the top contender to win the pole position later Friday in Sprint qualifying.

Runner-up Finish at Silverstone Piastri finished second in the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Piastri would follow Max Verstappen from the lights out to lap 7 when the slippery conditions would open an overtake opportunity for the McLaren star. He would lead from lap 8 onward and through the heavy rain that came at lap 11. Piastri was in complete control until a restart from the virtual safety car on lap 20. The young driver would nearly come to a stop and bring the ire of the stewards. Piastri would be hit with a 10-second penalty for a safety car infraction. He would serve that on the lap 43 pit stop and give up the lead to Lando Norris. Piastri would ride in P2 from there and collect the runner-up finish at the checkered flag.

Runner-up Finish in Spielberg PIastri finished second in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Piastri would get around Charles Leclerc on the opening lap and secure second-place. From there he'd battle hotly with Lando Norris for the early lead in this grand prix. The young McLaren driver would be frustrated in his attempts to get around Norris and eventually his teammate would slip away and build a bit of a lead. Piastri would try to reel-in Norris over the closing laps of the race but then lapped traffic would frustrate his efforts. He'd finish just over 2.5-seconds back in P2. It was ninth podium of the season.

P4 in Canadian GP Piastri finished fourth in the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Piastri would start third on the grid and give way to Kimi Antonelli as the Mercedes youngster displayed great pace. The McLaren youngster would run a longer opening stint but it wouldn't help much with the pursuit of the Mercedes duo. Piastri would challenge Antonelli down the stretch for the final podium spot, but he would end up in a pitched battle with teammate, Lando Norris. The two would make contact with Norris crashing out just 4 laps short of the finish. Piastri would continue on and collect P4 under the safety car finish.
