While initially a setback, the fresh rubber would end up playing to Piastri's advantage. He would track down Lewis Hamilton and overtake him on the last lap of the grand prix to secure a strong P5 in Singapore.

Impact Starting the race in wet conditions with medium tyres was a huge strategy risk. Impact Piastri's three-place grid penalty would slot him P6 on the starting grid. He would spend the majority of the day managing the straight-line speed limitations of his McLaren and engaging in battles with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. However, it would be Piastri's battles with teammate, Lando Norris, that would get the most attention. In the closing laps the action would heat up and on the last lap Norris would overtake Piastri for P4. The younger McLaren driver would have to settle for fifth-place at the Monza circuit.

Impact Lawson would be on a flying lap in Q2 and would catch a wandering Piastri in the first chicane. The young driver would express frustration over the radio as the incident likely prevented him from advancing into Q3. The stewards would agree and would later assess a three-place grid penalty against Piastri. He'll now start sixth on the grid rather than the P3 that he qualified.

Slow Pit Stop Piastri finished sixth in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Zandvoort Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Impact Piastri started the grand prix on hard tyres and would drop a spot on the opening lap to Charles Leclerc as a consequence. At one point he would even make contact with Charles Leclerc while battling for position. After Piastri's second stop of the day, he would get around Leclerc to forge a strong P4 in Austria.
