Back-End Battle in Qatar Hamilton finished 12th the Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact It was another difficult weekend for the Ferrari star. Hamilton would fail to get out of Q1 on Saturday and wind up a disappointing P17 on the starting grid. He'd make some headway early by starting on soft tyres and climbing up to P13 by the lap 7 safety car and pit stop. However, that would be most of his gains on this evening at the Lusail Circuit. Hamilton would be mired in a back-end battle to the finish and come home in P12 nearly 11-seconds behind Alex Albon.

Big Mover In Las Vegas Hamilton finished eighth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Impact A shocking elimination from Q1 on Friday would put Hamilton all the way back in P19 on the starting grid. The Ferrari star would get to work immediately opening the grand prix on hard tyres. Hamilton would pick off several spots and race all the way up to P5 before his lone pit stop on lap 29. That would allow him to lock into and hold Top-10 track position. He would utilize medium tyres for the second stint and race to an apparent P10 behind Nico Hulkenberg. However, post-race disqualification of both McLarens would promote Hamilton to P8 and 4 points for his strong efforts.

Early Retirement at Interlagos Hamilton finished 18th in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Hamilton would have a very tough day in Sao Paulo. A lap 1 that would see him struck by Carlos Sainz and then shortly after make hard contact with the rear of Franco Colapinto's Alpine. He would pit on lap 2 for a new front wing. Later the Ferrari star would be slapped with a 5-second time penalty for the incident with Colapinto. The injured Ferrari would be a handful for Hamilton from there on and he'd report several times a very shaky and bumpy ride. The team would decide to retire him mid-race due to a damaged floor from the lap 1 incidents. Hamilton will look to rebound next round out in Las Vegas.

10-Second Penalty Hamilton finished eighth in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Hamilton showed great pace all weekend in Mexico and seemed poised for a podium run. However, he would run into some headwinds in that regard during the grand prix. A lap 1 battle with Max Verstappen would see the Ferrari star go off-course in turn 4 and gain a time advantage. The stewards would note the incident and later hit Hamilton with a 10-second time penalty that he would serve on his opening pit stop. That would drop Hamilton back to P14 as a result and he'd spend the rest of the day recapturing positions lost to finish a somewhat disappointing P8 in the Mexico City GP.

P4 in United States GP Hamilton finished fourth in the United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday afternoon.
Impact It was a good day a the track for Ferrari and Hamilton would be a part of that success. He would start fifth on the grid and get around George Russell in the opening lap thanks to some aggressive moves early on. Hamilton would run a long opening stint to lap 31 on his medium tyres. He would rejoin ahead of Oscar Piastri and keep him at a comfortable distance until the final lap. Hamilton would seemingly suffer a puncture to one of his tyres but he would fend off Piastri by just 1-second to claim the strong P4 finish.

Track Limits Penalty Hamilton finished eighth in the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Circuit on Sunday.
Impact After starting sixth on the grid there was reasonable hope Hamilton could challenge the Top 5 Sunday in Singapore. However, the seven-time world champion would drop a spot on the opening lap to his teammate. Hamilton would race up to fifth-place when his lap 24 pit stop occurred. The Ferrari star would rejoin P8 and look to be in reasonable shape. However, he would be noted by stewards for track limits after the checkered flag and would slip from P7 to P8 due to the 5-second penalty applied. Hamilton will look to rebound next time out at Circuit of the Americas.

Mover in Azerbaijan Grand Prix Hamilton finished eighth in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Hamilton would start a subpar P12 on the grid after a disappointing qualifying effort. The Ferrari star would begin to make headway immediately after the lights out. Hamilton would race his way up to P8 by lap 19 when many of the early pit stops commenced. He would run a long opening stint and make it all the way to P4 by his lap 37 pit stop. That track position gained was huge Hamilton would get around Charles Leclerc in the closing laps but attempt to give him the spot back at the checkered flag, but could not. He'd wind up a respectable P8 in Azerbaijan.

Tops FP2 in Azerbaijan Hamilton led a Ferrari 1-2 in Free Practice 2 for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix as Lando Norris' session came to an early end after hitting the barrier, Formula1.com reports.
Impact The Ferrari duo would pick up the pace over the day's earlier practice at Baku and would flip the script on the McLarens. This much faster paced session would see Hamilton post a lap of 1:41.239 of the Baku City Circuit. He would edge teammate Leclerc by just 0.074-seconds to lead the way. Hamilton and Leclerc will look to spoil McLarens hopes of clinching a Constructors Championship this Sunday in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Drive Forward in Italy Hamilton finished sixth in the Italian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Monza Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Hamilton made up for a subpar qualifying effort and moved forward in the Italian Grand Prix. He would start 10th on the grid and go to work right away. Hamilton made up two spots on the opening lap by overtaking both Kimi Antonelli and Yuki Tsunoda. That would set the tone for the Ferrari star. Hamilton on lap 38 out of P4 and that would allow him to hold onto the track position gained. He couldn't chase down George Russell in the closing laps but would collect a steady P6 and 8 points in the Italian Grand Prix.

Impact Lando Norris would be the early leader in this opening practice for the Italian GP, but it would be Hamilton and Ferrari that would eventually prevail on soft tyres. The Ferrari star would muster a lap of 1:20.117 to edge Leclerc by just 0.169-seconds to claim the top speed of the session. Hamilton is looking to bounce back from a disastrous Dutch Grand Prix and he has the pace to challenge for a podium Sunday at Monza.

DNF in Dutch Grand Prix Hamilton crashed and finished 20th in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Ferrari star would start seventh on the grid and look forward to a points drive Sunday in the Dutch Grand Prix. Hamilton would hold down P7 all the way until rain drops started to fall and make for some greasy conditions on the track. Lap 22 would see him take the highly banked turn 3 a bit too high and get his right side tyres on the painted surface outside the lines. The Ferrari would lose grip and spin hard into the wall. The damage would be extensive and Hamilton's day in Zandvoort would be done. He would be the first retirement of the day and credited with a disappointing 20th-place finish.

P12 in Hungarian GP Hamilton finished 12th in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday.
Impact A poor qualifying effort would put Hamilton P12 on the starting grid. He would lose two spots on the opening lap and that would put him in catchup mode the rest of the way. An opening stint on hard tyres and one stop strategy to lap 42 (longer than most) would allow him to climb into P7. However, Hamilton could not hold onto those gains in the second half of the grand prix which was highlighted by a spirited battle with Max Verstappen. The Ferrari star would fall a lap down late and come home P12 in Budapest.

Impact Hamilton would start fifth on the grid and would immediately promote to P4 when George Russell would vacate his fourth starting spot on the grid prior to the lights out to pit for slick tyres. Hamilton would pit on lap 11 as rain began to set in and switch to intermediate tyres. He would rejoin P8 but have little difficulty in racing back up to P4 by his second pit stop. A late overtake of Lance Stroll would seal a strong P4 for the Ferrari star at the Silverstone Circuit.

Once the soft tyres rolled out for mock qualifying runs, it would be Hamilton that would conquer this famous circuit for the session. The Ferrari star would post a lap of 1:26.892 which would just edge Norris for the top of the time sheets. Hamilton is the defending British Grand Prix champion and looks like a strong bet to podium on Sunday afternoon.

P4 in Austria Hamilton finished fourth in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Hamilton would start fourth on the grid and avoid the contact that took out a couple drivers in turn 1 of lap 1. The Ferrari star would settle into P4 and ride until his opening pit stop on lap 26. After rejoining Hamilton would make quick work of Fernando Alonso and Liam Lawson with his fresher tyres and better pace. That would anchor him in fourth-place the rest of the way and he'd finish nearly 10-seconds back of teammate, Charles Leclerc, in P4 at the Red Bull Ring.

Impact Hamilton would come under immediate assault by Lando Norris from the lights out and the McLaren star would ride his bumper all the way up to P2 during opening pit stops. Hamilton would come in for fresh rubber on lap 15 and rejoin in 10th-place. From there he'd rally back to the front during his second and third stints but could not make it past teammate, Charles Leclerc down the stretch. Hamilton would have to settle for sixth-place after starting the Canadian GP fifth on the grid.

Impact Hamilton would start seventh on the grid and be one of the movers of the day with the tough passing conditions of Monaco. A short opening stint, pitting on lap 18 and long middle stint seemed to be the best strategy for this two-stop Monaco race. Hamilton would get to P5 and hang onto it down the stretch. The Ferrari star would be the last car to finish on the lead lap and Hamilton would collect 10 points for his hard work on the streets of Monaco.
