Impact Ocon faced pace issues in qualifying and wound up a disappointing 19th on the starting grid for the Saudi Arabian GP. The veteran driver would take advantage of an early caution and safety car to dart onto pit road for a tyre change. The team would bolt on hard compounds for a long run for Ocon. He would rejoin the action in P17 and race his way to 13th over the remainder of the grand prix. In the closing laps he'd surrender a spot to Fernando Alonso and give way to teammate, Oliver Bearman, on team orders. That would put Ocon a disappointing P14 at the checkered flag.
