5-Second False Start Penalty Ocon finished 15th the Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Ocon would line up P16 on the starting grid and he'd get around Yuki Tsunoda on the first lap. However, replays would show the Haas F1 veteran moving in his starting box prior to the lights out. The Stewards would slap Ocon with a 5-second penalty for a false start. He would stay out during the lap 7 safety car in which most of the field would pit. The hope was to grab easy track position up to P4 before conducting his own stop the next lap. Ocon would rejoin at the back and the gambit would not pay off. The veteran driver would claw his way past Pierre Gasly and later Lance Stroll to earn a 15th-place finish in Qatar.

Double Points Day for Haas Ocon finished ninth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Impact Ocon would start P13 on the grid and get around fast-fading Pierre Gasly on the opening lap. The Haas F1 veteran would run a long opening stint to lap 27 and that would allow Ocon to race up to P7. That helped him to hang onto good track position after the stop. Ocon would chase Lewis Hamilton all the way to the checkered flag and post what appeared to be an 11th-place finish. However, with both McLaren's disqualified in post-race tech, Ocon would promote to P9 as a result.
NOVEMBER 25 • ROTOWIRE
Misses Points in Brazil Ocon finished 12th in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Ocon would start from pit lane after taking on a new engine after qualifying and parc ferme conditions. The mayhem of the early laps would allow him to climb to P15 before his lap 8 pit stop. The Haas veteran would use a two-stop strategy that would allow him to briefly break into the Top 10 but unable to hold that track position. Ocon would briefly overtake Alex Albon late in the race for P11 but was unable to hold that spot, falling to P12 by the checkered flag.
NOVEMBER 11 • ROTOWIRE
Scores Points in Mexico Ocon finished ninth in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Impact A decent qualifying effort would put the veteran Haas driver starting 11th on the grid. That would increase Ocon's chances of scoring points in Mexico City. He would start on soft tyres and run long to a lap 27 pit stop. This would allow Ocon to climb up to P6. The track position gained was valuable and he would only pit once for the grand prix. A highlight would be a heated battle between Ocon and Oscar Piastri at one point, but Ocon would shore up ninth-place and secure it down the stretch to fetch 2 points in Mexico.
OCTOBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Backend Battle at COTA Ocon finished 15th in the United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Ocon would qualify a disappointing 17th on the starting grid and opt for hard tyres in his opening stint. The long run would hopefully gain the Haas F1 veteran some track position. The ploy wouldn't work as hoped and he would pit on lap 24 for medium tyres. This unintended undercut would help though and Ocon would climb to P13 as other teams cycled through pit stops. Kimi Antonelli and Alex Albon would get around Ocon in the closing laps and he'd cross the finish line in P15.
OCTOBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Singapore Struggles Ocon finished 18th in the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Circuit on Sunday.
Impact The Haas F1 veteran would use a long opening stint strategy on medium tyres as he would start P17 on the grid. This would allow Ocon to stay out until his lap 30 pit stop and achieve a high in the running order of P10. He would rejoin P20 and that would put Ocon in a big hole to climb out of in the second half of the race. He'd make some headway to P16 but late overtakes by Alex Albon and Liam Lawson would put Ocon in a disappointing 18th-place at the finish. He'll look to rebound next round out at COTA.
OCTOBER 7 • ROTOWIRE
Recovery Drive at Baku Ocon finished 14th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Ocon would start from the rear of the field due to his rear wing being found in violation of the regs after qualifying. It would be an uphill climb from there for the veteran Haas F1 driver. Ocon would take advantage of an early safety car for the Oscar Piastri crash to pit on lap 2 for fresh tyres. He would run the remainder of the grand prix on that set of hard tyres and stay out, promoting as others pitted mid-race. Ocon would lose a spot late to Oliver Bearman but still collect a reasonably good P14 by lap 51.
SEPTEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Forces Lance Stroll Off Track Ocon finished 15th in the Italian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Monza Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The Haas F1 veteran started the race on hard tyres from P15 and looked to go long on his opening stint. That strategy may have paid off but Ocon would have a run-in with Lance Stroll in the chicane and receive a 5-second time penalty from the stewards for forcing Stroll off the track. He would run the entire race on one set of tyres only to pit on lap 51. That would allow Ocon to race up to P7 but his demotion after rejoining the track would put him into a P15 finish.
SEPTEMBER 9 • ROTOWIRE
Double Points Day for Haas Ocon finished 10th in the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Starting deep in the field, both Haas teams would commit to a one-stop strategy in the Dutch Grand Prix. Ocon would come from P18 on the starting grid to P13 by his lap 52 pit stop. While his teammate, Oliver Bearman, would fare better with the gambit, Ocon would still make up considerable track position. A late overtake of the fading Pierre Gasly and the penalty and subsequent demotion of Kimi Antonelli would propel him into a strong 10th-place finish and double points day for the Haas F1 team.
SEPTEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Backend Battle in Budapest Ocon finished 16th in the Hungarian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring circuit on Sunday.
Impact Ocon would fail to advance out of Q1 during Saturday's qualifying session in Budapest and that would make for a long day Sunday in Hungary. He would get around Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto on the opening lap but that would be the highlight of this veteran driver's day. A lone pitstop early in the race (lap 14) would do nothing to help the Haas F1 veteran move forward. Ocon would lose one more spot down the stretch to Alex Albon and come home P16 in the Hungarian GP.
AUGUST 5 • ROTOWIRE
Fade in Belgium GP Ocon finished 15th in the Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact After starting 11th on the grid, Ocon had reasonable hopes to fetch points at Spa. However, The Haas F1 veteran would run into some headwinds in this wet-dry grand prix. Ocon would pit out of 10th-place on lap 13 as the last driver in the field to pit. That would be his undoing as he would cycle back out in last place. With it being a one-stop race largely Ocon would struggle to claw his way back up the order. He would promote few spots thanks to a handful of drivers using two-stop strategies but the best he could manage was P15 by the checkered flag.
JULY 29 • ROTOWIRE
Contact with Teammate Ocon finished 13th in the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact It would be a tough slog Sunday for the Haas F1 veteran. Ocon would make lap 1 contact with Liam Lawson with the Racing Bulls driver getting the worst of it and an early retirement. Ocon would replace his front wing and continue on from there. He'd rejoin P16 from his opening pitstop and race back forward. Ocon would have contact with teammate, Oliver Bearman, later on and both would spin and recover. He'd attempt to run down Carlos Sainz in the closing laps but would have to settle for P13 in Great Britain.
JULY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Earns Points in Austria Ocon finished 10th in the Austrian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday afternoon.
Impact The veteran Haas F1 driver now has points in three of his last four starts thanks to a steady drive at the Red Bull Ring on Sunday afternoon. Ocon qualified poorly and would start P17 on the grid. However, he would have no trouble driving forward with his two-stop pit strategy. Ocon raced up to eighth-place by his lap 19 pit stop. The track position gained would hold the rest of the way and Ocon would overtake a fading Isack Hadjar down the stretch to earn a respectable 10th-place finish in Austria.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Earns Points in Canada Ocon finished ninth in the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Ocon rebounded well from a poor outing in Barcelona. The veteran Haas F1 driver would qualify a reasonable 14th on the starting grid. Ocon would use a single-stop strategy and race all teh way to lap 57 for his only stop of the day. He would pit out of P8 and largely hang onto that track position gained. Over the final 13 laps he'd hold serve and promote one spot at the end with Lando Norris' retirement. Ocon would finish P9 and earn 2 points in Montreal.
JUNE 17 • ROTOWIRE
Late Fade in Spanish GP Ocon finished 16th in the Spanish Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday afternoon.
Impact Staring 16th on the grid, the veteran Haas F1 driver had some heavy lifting to do in Spain. Despite racing up to P12 he would get undercut by several drivers on the opening pit stop. Ocon would go a lap down to the leader before his second pit stop on lap 43. He would become mired in a lower third of the pack battle for the rest of the way and surrender one more spot to Franco Colapinto on the last lap to finish P16. He'll look to rebound next round out in Canada.
JUNE 3 • ROTOWIRE
Claims Points in Monaco Ocon finished seventh in the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
Impact The veteran driver started eighth on the grid after a strong qualifying effort. Ocon would stay locked into that spot until his lap 16 pit stop. He would continue to battle for a position in the points until the lap 36 retirement of Fernando Alonso. That would promote Ocon up to P7 by the checkered flag. It was his third Top-10 finish of the season and the Haas F1 driver netted 6 points for his good work in Monaco.
MAY 27 • ROTOWIRE
Early Retirement from Emilia-Romagna GP Ocon suffered a mechanical failure and finished 20th in the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Imola Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact A poor qualifying effort that lacked pace put Ocon 18th on the starting grid. The veteran Haas driver would make an early pit stop on lap 1 for a tyre swap and settle into P20. Ocon's attempts to race forward were frustrated in the early laps and finally on lap 27 something would fail mechanically in his Haas Ferrari. Ocon would pull into the grass triggering a virtual safety car and his race was finished. The DNF was very unfortunate and he'll look to rebound next round out in Monaco.
