Inside The Garage: INDYCAR World's Attention Shifts to Upcoming Indy 500

Finishes ninth in Long Beach Rossi brought his ECR machine home in ninth place in Sunday's NTT IndyCar Series Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Impact Despite starting 18th, Rossi managed a Top 10 at Long Beach, making him the only driver to start outside of the Top 10 but finish inside it. The result was Rossi's third Top-10 finish of the season, and he remains 11th in the overall IndyCar Series standings heading into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. Rossi is a previous winner at the track, leading 44 laps on his way to the victory in 2022. He was 14th last year in his first start at the track for Ed Carpenter Racing.

Finishes Ninth In Arlington Rossi brought his No. 20 ECR car home ninth in Sunday's NTT IndyCar Series Java House Grand Prix of Arlington.

Impact It was Rossi's second Top-10 finish of the 2026 season and kept him 10th in the overall point standings. The performance continues a trend from the end of the 2025 season, when Rossi scored three consecutive Top 10s after having just four over the first 14 races of the year. The veteran driver recorded one of those 2025 Top 10s at the site of the next IndyCar Series race, Barber Motorsports Park. He was eighth in that race, his sixth career Top-10 finish at the track in nine starts.
