Collects second win Megill (2-3) allowed two runs on a hit and three walks with five strikeouts in five innings, earning the win over Washington on Sunday.
Impact The only damage on Megill's line came in the form of a two-run home run by Josh Bell in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old right-hander has been inconsistent in August, picking up just one win in six starts while allowing four or more runs three times. He has a 4.04 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 70:18 K:BB across 64.2 innings spanning 13 starts overall. Megill lines up for a road rematch in Washington next weekend.

Hit hard by Giants Megill (1-3) allowed seven earned runs on 11 hits and no walks while striking out five across 3.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Giants.
Impact Megill allowed four home runs, which accounted for six of the seven earned runs that he was charged with. All four of the long balls were hit by lefties, and hitters of the opposite handedness have emerged as a problem for Megill. Of the 11 homers he's surrendered this season, nine have come from hitters who are left-handed. Though Megill had a string of several impressive starts to begin his big-league career, he's now allowed four or more earned runs in three of his last five starts. That's inflated his ERA to 4.07 across 59.2 innings.
