Doesn't fare well against Milwaukee Megill (3-6) allowed four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out two over four innings as he took the loss against the Brewers on Friday.
Impact Megill struggled to keep the ball in the yard Friday, letting up three solo home runs. Kolten Wong took him deep in the first and then Willy Adames and Christian Yelich went back-to-back off him in the third. The Brewers then got to him again in the fifth after Yelich led off the inning with a triple and later scored. The 25-year-old Megill also struggled with his control; his four walks were the most he's had in a start this season. Megill has struggled mightily since late August with a 2-4 record, 7.85 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over six starts. He's allowed at least four runs each time he's lost over that span and will look to turn things around when the Marlins come to town next week.

Struggles against St. Louis Megill (3-5) allowed six runs on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts through three innings, taking the loss in Wednesday's 11-4 defeat to the Cardinals.
Impact The bulk of the damage to Megill's line came in the first inning when the Cardinals sent nine men to the plate and scored five runs. He ran into more trouble in the fourth, as he gave up a homer to Harrison Bader, a double to Jon Lester and a single to Tommy Edman before getting the hook. With this clunker in the books, it might be time to start asking some questions about the 26-year-old's workload. Between stints with Double-A Binghamton, Triple-A Syracuse and the Mets, Megill has worked 121 innings in 2021. That's more frames than he's thrown in a single season at any level in his career. His ERA is starting to show it too, as it sits at an ugly 7.66 over his last five starts.

Dominates Yankees in victory Megill (3-4) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk over seven innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Yankees.
Impact It was a career night for the 6-foot-7 rookie, setting new career bests with seven innings and 10 punchouts. Megill gave up a run on an RBI groundout in the first inning followed by a Joey Gallo solo shot in the second. He settled in and kept the Yankees scoreless for the next five frames and lowered his season ERA to 4.06 through 77.2 innings. He's produced a 23:5 K:BB over his last three outings. Megill is lined up to face the Cardinals at home next week.

Fans eight in loss to Nats Megill (2-4) took the loss in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings as the Mets fell 4-3....
Impact New York's bullpen got taxed when the matinee went to extra innings, but Megill stepped up and worked the entire nightcap, although his offense couldn't matched its 11-run outburst earlier in the day to reward the right-hander with a win. Megill did tie his career high in strikeouts, and on the year the rookie sports a 4.20 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 78:19 K:BB through 70.2 innings.
