Placed on injured list Wells was placed on the 10-day injured list with right wrist tendinitis Friday, retroactive to July 20, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Wells hadn't pitched since he struck out two in a scoreless inning against the Rays on Monday, and he's apparently dealing with a wrist injury. However, the right-hander isn't expected to require a lengthy stint on the injured list, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
