Sitting versus lefty Peters is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

The 26-year-old will be making his fifth consecutive start, after opening the season by going 4-for-12 with a double, a stolen base, a run and a 2:6 BB:K. Though Peters isn't necessarily locked into an everyday role, the White Sox could continue to open up starts for him by building in occasional rest days for veterans such as Hays and Andrew Benintendi.

Flipped to White Sox The White Sox acquired Peters from the Rays on Thursday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Impact Peters had been designated for assignment earlier this week and now joins a new organization. The 25-year-old outfielder went hitless during his brief time with the Rays in 2025 and slashed .266/.355/.429 at Triple-A Durham. Peters can play all three outfield spots and will likely compete for a reserve role with the White Sox.
