Won't return this weekend
D'Arnaud (thumb) won't return during the team's weekend series against the Nationals, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Impact
While the team was initially hopeful that d'Arnaud would be able to return this weekend, he'll appear in three more rehab games at Triple-A Gwinnett. The 32-year-old will catch Friday, serve as the designated hitter Saturday and catch nine innings Sunday. If all goes well, d'artaud will likely be in line to return for Tuesday's series opener against the Reds.

Set to return soon
D'Arnaud (thumb) is expected to return for the team's upcoming series against Cincinnati, though he hasn't been ruled out for the team's weekend series against Washington, Mark Bow...
Impact
D'Arnuad began a rehab assignment July 30 and has since racked up seven at-bats with Triple-A Gwinnett. More importantly, he caught seven innings Tuesday and was scheduled to be behind the plate again Thursday. D'Arnaud's final rehab appearance could come Saturday, as he's currently penciled in to start as Gwinnett's designated hitter, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Begins rehab assignment
D'Arnaud (thumb) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Impact
D'Arnaud has been out since early May while recovering from thumb surgery. Given the length of his absence, he'll likely need a fair number of rehab appearances, though Atlanta has yet to announce exactly when he's expected to return.

Rehab assignment on tap
D'Arnaud (thumb) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment later this week, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
Impact
The 32-year-old recently joined Atlanta on the road trip and was participating in baseball activities, and he's now set to depart the team and start a rehab assignment. D'Arnaud has been sidelined since the start of May after undergoing thumb surgery, so he'll likely require at least a handful of appearances in the minors before being activated.

Working out with team
D'Arnaud (thumb) joined Atlanta to begin its current road and participated in various baseball activities, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.
Impact
While it's an encouraging sign for the veteran catcher, d'Arnaud still has a lot of steps ahead in his recovery. "He's going to need to take live BPs, and obviously, play some rehab games and all that kind of stuff," manager Brian Snitker said Thursday. "It's a good sign, I think, that he's accelerating his activity. But still, you're not going to rush something like this. They'll be able to tell when he is ready. It's just about the strength and repetitions, and seeing how his body handles all that again." While the club hasn't offered a concrete timetable for his recovery, a mid-August return to the lineup seems within reach for d'Arnaud.
