Idle Saturday D'Arnaud isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Erica Weston of Angels Broadcast Television reports.
Impact Saturday marks the third straight game that d'Arnaud will begin on the bench despite having recorded a hit in each of his last two games. Tyler Heineman will handle catching duties and bat ninth.
AUGUST 8 • ROTOWIRE
Taking seat Thursday D'Arnaud is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Baltimore.
Impact D'Arnaud started at catcher the previous two days, so he'll grab a seat during Thursday's matinee. Moises Ballesteros -- who slotted in at designated hitter in his first two starts for the Angels -- will do the catching Thursday.
AUGUST 6 • ROTOWIRE
Relegated to bench Sunday D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Impact D'Arnaud will take a seat for the series finale, but he looks to be the Angels' new No. 1 catcher after Logan O'Hoppe was traded to the Rangers on Wednesday. Tyler Heineman will get the nod behind the dish in place of d'Arnaud, who went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts while starting the first two contests of the series.
AUGUST 2 • ROTOWIRE
Back from IL The Angels reinstated d'Arnaud (foot) from the injured list Wednesday.
Impact The Angels had been aiming to get d'Arnaud back on the active roster over the weekend, but he'll rejoin the team a few days early to replenish the depth the team lost by trading Logan O'Hoppe to the Rangers on Wednesday. D'Arnaud hasn't been especially productive since joining the Angels in 2025, slashing just .198/.262/.339 across 271 plate appearances with the organization. However, with Tyler Heineman representing his only healthy competition on the big-league roster, d'Arnaud will likely get to start a handful of games.
JULY 30 • ROTOWIRE
Could be activated soon D'arnaud (foot) could be activated from the injured list as soon as Friday, MLB.com reports.
Impact D'arnaud has played six games so far during his minor-league rehab assignment, slashing .227/.261/.273 with a double, two RBI and a 1:7 BB:K. The veteran catcher has yet to catch on back-to-back days, which the Angels have set as a baseline for his activation from the IL, but that could happen as soon as Wednesday. Should that be the case, d'Arnaud may be ready to return to the Angels for the team's series opener against Milwaukee on Friday. Tyler Heineman and Logan O'Hoppe are currently working as the Angels' catchers, so one of them may be moved off the 26-man roster upon d'Arnaud's return.
JULY 29 • ROTOWIRE
Set for rehab assignment Friday D'Arnaud (foot) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
Impact D'Arnaud hasn't played since May 6 due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. He's been running the bases for the past week, which was the last step in his recovery before being cleared for rehab contests. The veteran backstop has a .614 OPS across 40 plate appearances this season.
JULY 17 • ROTOWIRE
Takes big steps toward return D'Arnaud (foot) caught Yusei Kikuchi's bullpen session July 5 and progressed to running the bases July 10, MLB.com reports.
Impact D'Arnaud had already been swinging a bat and throwing, but the advancement to running the bases is particularly notable because he's been dealing with right foot plantar fasciitis. If the veteran backstop continues to make steady progress, he could be activated from the 60-day IL by the end of July. In the meantime, Tyler Heineman will likely remain the backup catcher behind Logan O'Hoppe.
JULY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Still weeks away from return D'Arnaud (foot) has been swinging a bat and throwing, but he has yet to resume running and is expected to be out for multiple more weeks, per MLB.com.
Impact Running will be a big hurdle for d'Arnaud to clear give the right foot plantar fasciitis that has sidelined him since early May. The veteran catcher is coming up on the date when he'll be eligible to be activated from the 60-day IL, but it sounds like he'll be out several weeks beyond the minimum. With d'Arnaud out of action, Tyler Heineman is currently the Angels' No. 2 backstop behind Logan O'Hoppe.
JULY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared to catch bullpen sessions D'Arnaud (foot) was able to catch from a pitching machine Sunday and has continued to do swinging and throwing in his workouts, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Impact D'Arnaud is doing nearly every baseball activity except for running, which is the main hurdle he'll need to clear in his recovery from right foot plantar fasciitis before the Angels send him out for a rehab assignment. The veteran backstop has been on the injured list since May 7 due to the injury and appears unlikely to make it back until after the All-Star break.
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Sheds boot D'Arnaud (foot) is no longer wearing a walking boot, and he played catch on the field Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Impact It's a notable step for d'Arnaud, who landed on the 10-day injured list May 8 due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. The veteran backstop has since been transferred to the 60-day IL, so he isn't eligible to return until early July. With Sebastian Rivero currently sidelined due t a left hamate fracture, Logan Porter is working as the backup catcher behind Logan O'Hoppe.
JUNE 13 • ROTOWIRE
Moves to 60-day IL The Angels transferred d'Arnaud (foot) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.
Impact D'Arnaud has been on the injured list since May 8 due to right foot plantar fasciitis, so his move to the 60-day IL will guarantee he remains sidelined through the beginning of July. Sebastian Rivero will continue to work as the Angels' backup catcher until then, and Shaun Anderson will claim the open spot on the 40-man roster.
JUNE 3 • ROTOWIRE
No timetable for return D'Arnaud (foot) told reporters Saturday that he does not have a timetable for his return from the 10-day injured list, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Impact D'Arnaud landed on the 10-day injured list May 8 due to right foot plantar fasciitis. He's kept the weight off his foot by using a scooter and relayed that he'll have a better sense of his rehab timeline once he's able to put weight on his foot. Given the update, it's possible that d'Arnaud is not back with the big club until later in the summer. Sebastian Rivero will continue to operate as the Angels' backup catcher behind Logan O'Hoppe for as long as d'Arnaud is sidelined.
MAY 16 • ROTOWIRE
Out with plantar fasciitis The Angels placed d'Arnaud on the 10-day injured list Friday with right foot plantar fasciitis.
Impact D'Arnaud had to leave Wednesday's game versus the White Sox with the injury, though it's unclear if it might have been bothering him previously. He joins Logan O'Hoppe (wrist) on the IL, leaving the Angels with Sebastian Rivero and Omar Martinez as their top two catchers.

Dealing with foot issue Manager Kurt Suzuki said Wednesday that d'Arnaud is dealing with pain in his foot, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact D'Arnaud came out of Wednesday's game against the White Sox in the fifth inning after attempting to leg out an infield single. He reportedly had trouble putting weight on his foot after exiting, so the Angels will send him in for further testing. More will be known about the severity of his injury once the results come back, but Sebastian Rivero could be in line to make a start or two behind home plate once the Angels begin their weekend series in Toronto.

Sitting Tuesday D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.
Impact D'Arnaud went 2-for-3 in the series opener against the White Sox on Monday. The catcher will get some rest Tuesday night before his likely start in Wednesday's day game. Sebastian Rivero has the start behind the plate and is batting eighth Tuesday.

Resting Sunday D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
Impact D'Arnaud will get a breather for the series finale after he went 0-for-8 while starting behind the dish over the Angels' last three games. Sebastian Rivero will handle catching duties for the Halos on Sunday.
MAY 3 • ROTOWIRE
Idle Tuesday D'Arnaud is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.
Impact D'Arnaud started the last two games for the Angels since Sunday after dealing with a foot injury that he suffered on a hit by pitch April 19. As he gets some rest Tuesday, Sebastian Rivero has the start behind the dish and is batting eighth.
APRIL 28 • ROTOWIRE
Back in action Sunday D'Arnaud (foot) is starting behind the plate and batting eighth Sunday against the Royals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact After battling a foot injury, the 37-year-old is making his first start in a week with Logan O'Hoppe landing on the injured list due to a fractured wrist. D'Arnaud has tallied just 19 plate appearances through the Angels' first 28 games of the season, but he's now poised to operate as the club's primary catcher with O'Hoppe on the shelf. Sebastian Rivero was called up to take over the backup job.
APRIL 26 • ROTOWIRE
Exits early after HBP D'Arnaud was hit by a pitch on his left foot and forced to exit Sunday's contest against the Padres in the seventh inning.
Impact D'Arnaud was struck in his left foot by a 94.6 mph sinker from relief pitcher Kyle Hart in the bottom of the seventh frame, and he was unable to continue to play as a result. The catcher was replaced at first base by outfielder Bryce Teodosio, and more information on his status will likely come in the near future.
APRIL 19 • ROTOWIRE
Filling in for resting O'Hoppe D'Arnaud will start at catcher and bat seventh in Thursday's game against the Yankees, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Top backstop Logan O'Hoppe will get a breather for the day game after playing nine innings behind the plate in a 5-4 loss Wednesday night, paving the way for d'Arnaud to receive a turn behind the plate. D'Arnaud will be making just his fourth start of the season after going 1-for-10 with a double and a run scored through his first three games.
APRIL 16 • ROTOWIRE
In line for No. 2 catcher role D'Arnaud is expected to serve as the Angels' No. 2 catcher behind Logan O'Hoppe this season, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Impact D'Arnaud served in the same role during his first season with the Angels last year and finished the campaign with a .598 OPS along with six homers and 21 RBI across 231 plate appearances. He struggled to make contact, posting a career-worst 32.0 percent strikeout rate. O'Hoppe is viewed by the Angels as a potential long-term stalwart behind the plate, so d'Arnaud isn't a threat to usurp the younger catcher's playing time.
