Impact Holt will likely require a few games in the minors to get his timing back at the plate after he was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Aug. 23 following his positive test for the virus. Once he's reinstated, Hill will likely fill a utility role in the Texas infield.

Impact The veteran is omitted from Oakland's lineup for the second straight day, although he did appear as a pinch hitter in Saturday's contest. Khris Davis is batting sixth as the designated hitter Sunday.

Impact Calhoun moves his rehab from the rookie-level AZL Rangers to Round Rock. He's 6-for-17 with a home run, two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored over five games at the Arizona Complex League. The move up to the Express suggests Calhoun could return to Texas by the end of the week.

Drew Anderson - Begins rehab assignment Anderson (undisclosed) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one over two scoreless innings for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Impact Anderson tossed 26 pitches in the first outing of his rehab assignment. He had been used as a starter, a tandem starter and long reliever during his short time up with the team prior to landing on the COVID-19 injured list. It's unclear what the Rangers have planned for him when he returns.
