Impact Cron went down hard after being hit by a pitch, but he got up shortly after and was able to walk to first base. However, manager Bud Black opted to remove the 32-year-old from the game. It's not yet clear whether he'll be forced to miss additional time, but Connor Joe will likely step in at first base if Cron is sidelined.

Zach Reks - Demoted Sunday Reks was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, John Blake of the Rangers reports.
Impact Reks was acquired by the Rangers during the offseason after having spent the rest of his professional career with the Dodgers. He made a brief big-league debut with Los Angeles in 2021, but he spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Though he'll begin the 2022 campaign in the minors, Reks could earn opportunity in the big leagues as the season progresses.

Julian Fernández - Reassigned to minor-league camp Fernandez was optioned to minor-league camp Sunday.
Impact Fernandez spent the majority of the 2021 season at Double and Triple-A, though he closed the campaign in the big-league bullpen. Despite a heavy fastball that averaged 99 mph, Fernandez managed only 42 strikeouts across 42.2 frames in the minors. Though he won't begin the season in the majors barring an injury to other relievers, Fernandez is likely to contribute in Colorado at some point.
