Impact It was nearly a perfect day at the plate for Hampson, who tallied a four-hit game for the second time in his career. On the season, the 26-year-old has cranked 12 doubles and six home runs while batting .245/.305/.435.

Impact Blackmon's fourth long ball of the season came against Mike Foltynewicz in the third inning. He actually reached base on four occasions, starting off with a hit-by-pitch in the first frame. He then singled in the sixth and knocked in a two-run double in the seventh. It was the ninth multi-hit game of the season for the 34-year-old, who got off to a slow start but seems to be heating up lately with eight hits in his last four games. Impact The abbreviated start tied for the shortest of the year for Foltynewicz, who struggled at hitter-happy Coors Field despite making his 10th career appearance there. He gave up only one homer via a solo shot to Charlie Blackmon in the third, but the Rockies found other ways to get on the scoreboard. It's been a pretty average season overall for the right-hander (4.31ERA, 1.29 WHIP), though lack of run support hasn't done him any favors. Foltynewicz is projected to take the mound again Wednesday against the Giants.

Austin Gomber - Fires six shutout frames Gomber (4-5) picked up the win Thursday after holding the Rangers scoreless across six innings. He allowed three hits and no walks while striking out six.

Impact It was a gem of an outing for Gomber, who blanked his opponent for just the second time this year and did not issue any free passes for the third time. The left-hander seems to be figuring things out at hitter-happy Coors Field. He's also found success in his recent outings, scattering five runs over his last five starts, lowering his ERA to 4.12 and WHIP to 1.14. Gomber's next projected start lines up for a favorable road matchup Wednesday at Miami.
