Eli White - Playing outfield Friday White (elbow) is scheduled to play the outfield in Friday's Cactus League game, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
Impact White has been seeing action as the designated hitter and is now set to see his first time in the outfield this spring. The 27-year-old is returning from elbow surgery in September and wasn't expected to be ready for Opening Day at the start of camp, but his ability to play the outfield could signal he'll receive full clearance sooner rather than later.

Josh Jung - No longer in sling Jung no longer requires the use of a sling to stabilize his surgically repaired left shoulder, independent baseball journalist Jeff Wilson reports.
Impact Now four weeks removed from arthroscopic surgery, Jung has taken the first notable step forward in his recovery by ditching the sling. Though Jung is seemingly progressing well at this early stage of his rehab program, the Rangers are still preparing for him to be sidelined for 6-to-8 months. That timeline means that Jung likely isn't on track to make his MLB debut this season, unless the Rangers find themselves in playoff contention in September and are looking to add an impact bat to the active roster.

Demarcus Evans - Misses out on Opening Day roster The Rangers optioned Evans to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Impact Evans was one of two Texas pitchers optioned to minor-league camp Wednesday, joining Yerry Rodriguez. Though he's performed well during his time at the Double- and Triple-A levels, Evans hasn't been able to translate his swing-and-miss stuff to success in the majors. Over 29 career MLB appearances spanning 30.1 innings, Evans owns a 5.13 ERA (5.28 xFIP).

Yerry Rodriguez - Sent to minors The Rangers optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday.
Impact Texas sent out Rodriguez and fellow pitcher Demarcus Evans to Triple-A as it reduced its group in big-league camp to 57 players. While working as a swingman at Round Rock following a mid-season promotion from Double-A Frisco in 2021, Rodriguez appeared in 13 games (four starts) at the Triple-A level and finished with an 8.01 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across 30.1 frames.
