Mixed results in no-decision
Gore did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Athletics, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks with seven strikeouts over five innings.
Impact
Gore allowed three runs across the second and third innings, throwing 72 of a season-high 106 pitches for strikes with 14 whiffs. The 27-year-old has now yielded 10 earned runs across his past three starts, and he's failed to exceed five frames in four straight outings. He owns a 4.35 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 42:15 K:BB across 31 innings and lines up for a road matchup against the Tigers next weekend.

Secures first save
Latz earned the save in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Athletics, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.
Impact
Latz was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning and did so on 14 pitches. Jakob Junis, who had appeared to be the Rangers' preferred option for saves with Robert Garcia (shoulder) sidelined, was used in the eighth. The 30-year-old Latz owns a 1.23 ERA, 0.48 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB across 14.2 innings with one save and two holds, and it appears manager Skip Schumaker will operate with a ninth-inning committee for the time being.

Plates lone run in loss
Jung went 1-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI in Friday's 8-1 loss to the Athletics.
Impact
Jung, who had a six-game RBI streak snapped Thursday, got back on it Friday, delivering a two-out ground-rule double to plate the Rangers' lone run in the fourth inning. He immediately stole third base -- his first steal of the season -- but was stranded there. Since a two-game absence attributed to being banged up, Jung has hit safely in 12 of 14 contests, going 19-for-51 (.373) with 12 extra-base hits (three home runs), 11 RBI and nine runs.

Starts two consecutive games
Osuna started in left field and went 0-for-2 in Friday's 8-1 loss to the Athletics.
Impact
This marked Osuna's second straight start in left field, as the Rangers adapt to life without Wyatt Langford (forearm), who was added to the 10-day injured list Wednesday. Thus far, manager Skip Schumaker has gotten by with a rotation of the lefty-batting Osuna and right-handed hitting Ezequiel Duran in left field, although it may not be a strict platoon.

Serves up four homers
Eovaldi (2-4) took the loss Friday, allowing six runs on six hits and one walk over six innings against the Athletics. He struck out three.
Impact
The veteran right-hander served up a home run to Nick Kurtz on the first pitch of the game, with Carlos Cortes and Tyler Soderstrom delivering back-to-back long balls later in the frame. Eovaldi followed up with three scoreless innings before Cortes launched a three-run homer in the fifth. Eovaldi has now surrendered nine home runs through six starts this season, nearly matching his total (10) from 22 starts in 2025. Things won't get any easier for the 36-year-old, as a matchup with the Yankees likely awaits next week.

Mashes homer in victory
Seager went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in a 6-1 victory versus the Pirates on Thursday.
Impact
Seager broke the game open in the fourth inning, belting a three-run shot to right field to give the Rangers a 6-0 lead. The veteran shortstop had been in the midst of a mini-slump coming into the contest, going just 1-for-15 at the plate with six strikeouts over his previous four games. Seager hasn't been hitting to his usual standard this season, slashing just .207/.317/.448 through 104 plate appearances, but he does have six homers, 16 RBI and 17 runs along with one stolen base.

Fans 10 in win Thursday
DeGrom (2-0) earned the victory over Pittsburgh on Thursday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over 5.2 innings.
Impact
DeGrom dominated for most of his outing, racking up 20 whiffs and a season-high 10 punchouts. The only blemish on his line was the result of an ONeil Cruz solo homer in the fifth inning. Fantasy managers who deployed deGrom will likely be celebrating this performance, though there is minor disappointment in the fact that he was pulled one out shy of a quality start despite having thrown a modest 89 pitches. Texas seems hesitant to allow the veteran hurler to push his pitch count too high -- he's topped out at 93 pitches this season and has thrown less than 80 in two of his five starts -- but deGrom has nonetheless been excellent to begin the campaign, posting a 2.13 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB through 25.1 innings.
