Chas McCormick - Not starting Monday McCormick isn't in the lineup Monday against the Phillies.
Impact McCormick is out of the lineup for the second time in the last three games after going 0-for-3 with a run and a strikeout Sunday. Jake Meyers will start in center field and bat eighth Monday.

Taylor Walls - Won't start Monday Walls is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact The newly recalled Vidal Brujan will get a start at the keystone while Walls rests after making three straight starts out of the middle infield. With Brandon Lowe (back) done for the season, Walls is poised to serve as the Rays' primary second baseman for what's left of the regular season and for the duration of Tampa Bay's playoff run.

Isaac Paredes - Filling in for Diaz Paredes will start at third base and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact He'll stick in the lineup for the 11th time in 14 games while Yandy Diaz remains bothered by a sore left shoulder, an injury he aggravated in his return from an eight-game absence in Friday's win over the Astros. The Rays seem to be viewing Diaz as day-to-day as the team begins its final series of the regular season, so Paredes' hold on an everyday role could be tenuous.

Yandy Díaz - Still bothered by shoulder Diaz will remain out of the lineup for Monday's game in Boston while he continues to be bothered by soreness in his left shoulder, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Diaz has made just one start in the Rays' last 12 games due to the shoulder injury, which he aggravated in his return to the lineup during Friday's 7-3 win over the Astros. Isaac Paredes should continue to be the main beneficiary of added playing time at third base for however long Diaz remains sidelined.

Francisco Mejía - Makes start at DH Mejia will serve as the Rays' designated hitter and No. 8 batter in Monday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Mejia will pick up his fourth start in five games, this time in a non-defensive role after he worked behind the plate Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Though he's seen an uptick in work of late, Mejia owns a pedestrian .596 OPS since the start of September and still looks to be the Rays' No. 2 option at catcher behind Christian Bethancourt.
