Dylan Moore - Battling side problems Moore "felt something in his side" while swinging in the batting cages Thursday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Impact Moore was slated to make his Cactus League debut Thursday after recovering from offseason core-muscle surgery, but was scratched from the Mariners' lineup before the game. He will undergo MRI testing which will provide a better idea of his status for Opening Day.

Manny Piña - Visits specialist for wrist Pina visited a specialist Thursday in Atlanta for his lingering left wrist issue, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact It's the same specialist who conducted Pina's season-ending wrist surgery last May. The results of the review are still pending, but it sounds like the veteran catcher could be facing another extended absence. He had been in line to open the 2023 campaign as the No. 2 catcher in Oakland.

Dylan Moore - Scratched from lineup Moore was a late scratch from Thursday's Cactus League lineup versus the Giants, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Moore's Cactus League debut was pushed from Wednesday to Thursday because of rain, and it's possible the field conditions are still soggy. The Mariners should have more on his status soon.

Prelander Berroa - Will be in Double-A rotation Manager Scott Servais said Thursday that Berroa will be part of the rotation at Double-A Arkansas to begin the season, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Impact Berroa impressed this spring to the point that Servais also said he expects the hard-throwing right-hander to help the major-league club in 2023. That could be as a reliever, but Berroa will continue to develop as a starter for the time being.

J.P. Crawford - Aims for shortstop Sunday or Monday Crawford (shoulder) hopes to return to playing shortstop on Sunday or Monday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Impact Crawford is serving as the Mariners' designated hitter again Thursday in Cactus League play as he protects his achy right shoulder. He seems to be feeling better, though, and hopes to be able to play the field in a few days.
MARCH 16, 2023 ROTOWIRE
Andrés Muñoz - Pitching in B game Thursday Munoz (foot) will make an appearance in a B game Thursday, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.
Impact The plan has been for Munoz to make his Cactus League debut Friday and that presumably will still happen. Munoz has been brought along slowly in camp following October foot surgery, but he's healthy and this point and just needs to knock some rust off. He and Paul Sewald and Munoz look like 1A and 1B at closer, respectively, for Seattle this season.

Dylan Moore - Making Cactus debut Thursday Moore (abdomen) is making his Cactus League debut Thursday against the Giants, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.
Impact The Mariners have slow-played Moore this spring following offseason core-muscle surgery, but he's ready to go now. Moore is slated for his familiar super-utility role again this season, and that positional versatility along with his speed makes him a viable deep-league fantasy option, especially since he has 42 steals over the past two seasons in a part-time role.
