Erick Mejia - Assigned to minor camp Mejia was assigned to minor camp Saturday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Mejia will begin the 2022 season with Triple-A Tacoma after signing a minor-league contract with the Mariners in late February. The 27-year-old played in 17 games with the Royals over the last two seasons, batting .143 with two doubles and four RBI in 38 at-bats.

Sal Romano - Beginning season at Triple-A Tacoma Romano was assigned to minor league camp Saturday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Romano signed a minor-league contract with a major league invite March 22, but he'll start the year with Triple-A Tacoma. The reliever only pitched 0.1 innings this spring, allowing one hit and no runs. As a member of the Reds, Brewers and Yankees in 2021, Romano posted a putrid 6.12 ERA and 1.68 WHIP.

Colton Welker - Optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque Welker (eye) was sent down to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Welker was moved down Friday after appearing in two games this spring, going 1-for-3 from the plate with an RBI and a walk. He's currently dealing with an eye infection, but he should return to the Triple-A lineup relatively soon. The 24-year-old appeared in 19 games with the Rockies last season, slashing .189/.250/.216 with a double and two RBI over 37 at-bats.

Justin Lawrence - Optioned to Triple-A Lawrence was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Impact Lawrence appeared in five games this spring, surrendering three earned runs on four hits while striking out five over five innings. The right-hander will begin the season at the minor-league level, but considering the lack of top-tier options in the bullpen for the Rockies, he'll likely rejoin the big-league squad at some point in the coming months.
