Zachary Vincej - Lands MiLB deal with M's VIncej signed a minor-league contract with the Mariners on June 3 and was assigned to the organization's rookie-level Arizona League affiliate.

Impact After electing free agency following the 2019 season, Vincej appeared to be transitioning into a post-playing career, as he had accepted a coaching position at Pepperdine, his alma mater. The 30-year-old infielder has apparently since reconsidered his stance, and he'll attempt to reboot his career with Seattle, the organization in which he spent the 2018 campaign. Vincej enjoyed cups of coffee in the big leagues with both Cincinnati and Seattle in 2017 and 2018, respectively, appearing in 10 games between the two clubs.

Drew Steckenrider - Working on scoreless streak Steckenrider, who fired a perfect eighth inning in a win over Cleveland on Sunday, now has four consecutive scoreless, one-inning appearances.

Impact The right-hander had a rough landing in his return from the COVID-19 injured list back on June 5, surrendering a pair of earned runs over one frame to the Angels. However, Steckenrider has quickly rediscovered the form he was flashing prior to his multi-week absence, and his current stretch has served to coax his ERA and WHIP down to an impressive 2.70 and 1.03, respectively.

Jake Bauers - On base thrice against old club Bauers went 2-for-4 with an RBI single, a double, a walk and a run in a win over Cleveland on Sunday.

Impact The recent arrival hit safely for the third time in four games with the Mariners, authoring his first multi-hit effort in the process. Bauers' two-bagger was also his first extra-base hit since slugging a solo home run back on May 19 while still with Cleveland.

Impact The outfielder was an in-game replacement for Mitch Haniger (knee), and although he went down on strikes twice, he paid big dividends in the form of a 420-foot shot to right field with Jose Godoy aboard in the fourth inning. The 26-year-old has been a different hitter since returning from a stint on the injured list, boosting his OPS to an elite .995 across 69 plate appearances after drawing 11 walks and lacing five extra-base hits in his first 13 games back.
