Matt Shoemaker - Lands minor-league deal Shoemaker signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Saturday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
Impact Shoemaker was released by the Twins on Monday after he recorded a career-worst 8.06 ERA and 1.66 WHIP in 60.1 innings with the major-league club in 2021. The right-hander will serve as organizational depth for San Francisco and is a candidate to join the major-league pitching staff if he can show improved results in the minors.

Tyler Chatwood - Inks minor-league deal Chatwood signed a minor-league contract with the Giants on Saturday, Mitch Bannon of SI.com reports.
Impact Chatwood was DFA'd by the Blue Jays at the end of July, and he was released after he went unclaimed on waivers. The right-hander posted a 5.46 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 28 innings across 30 relief appearances for Toronto this year and will be an option to join the Giants' bullpen if injuries occur.

Zack Littell - Called up Saturday Littell was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact Littell was sent down in late July after he gave up three runs in one inning against the Pirates, but he had tossed 6.1 scoreless frames across his six previous outings. He's posted a 3.44 ERA and 1.32 WHIP in 34 innings with the Giants this year and will provide an extra arm out of the bullpen after outfielder Steven Duggar was sent down Saturday.

Conner Menez - Outrighted to Triple-A Menez cleared waivers Saturday and was outrighted to Triple-A Sacramento, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact Menez, who posted a 3.86 ERA and 15:3 K:BB in 14 innings with the Giants earlier this season, went unclaimed on waivers. He'll remain with Sacramento, where he's been since being optioned June 20.

Impact Duggar had hit just .200 since the All-Star break, and he had been out of the lineup in each of the last two games. He'll attempt to turn things around in the minors, while Austin Slater and Alex Dickerson will likely see increased playing time in the outfield following Duggar's demotion.
