Ryan Walker - Notches 11th save Walker earned the save in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Brewers, allowing one hit while striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.
Impact With Randy Rodriguez (arm) unavailable Sunday, the Giants turned to Walker in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The right-hander was able to work around Sal Frelick's two-out single to lock down his 11th save this season and first since May 25. Walker has been sharp of late, turning in six straight scoreless appearances and posting a 0.77 ERA over his last 11.2 innings. He'd be the favorite for the ninth-inning job going forward, should Rodriguez miss any additional time.

Robbie Ray - No-decision vs. Brewers Ray did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Brewers, three runs on six hits and four walks over five innings. He didn't record a strikeout.
Impact While Ray was able to limit the damage for the most part Sunday, it was a shaky outing overall for the left-hander, who issued four free passes while failing to record a strikeout for the first time this season. Ray had been pitching well coming into the day, posting a 2.59 ERA in his previous five starts (31.1 innings). Overall, he's 10-6 with a 2.93 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 158:61 K:BB across 27 starts (159.2 innings) this season. Ray's currently slated to face the Orioles at home his next time out.

Randy Rodríguez - Dealing with arm soreness Rodriguez was unavailable for Sunday's 4-3 win against the Brewers due to right arm soreness, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Rodriguez was tagged with the loss in Friday's 5-4 defeat in Milwaukee, and he apparently torqued something in his pitching arm in the process. Ryan Walker was called upon to protect the Giants' one-run lead in the ninth inning Sunday, working around a two-out single by Sal Frelick to earn a save. Rodriguez still appears to be in the driver's seat for the ninth-inning role with San Francisco, and he can be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's off day.

Luis Matos - Staking claim to full-time role Matos will start in right field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Impact Matos will nab his fourth consecutive start after going 6-for-11 with a solo home run, two doubles, one triple, two walks, two stolen bases and two additional runs over his previous three contests. The 23-year-old appears to have overtaken Drew Gilbert as the Giants' preferred option in right field on the heels of his hot streak at the plate.
AUGUST 24 • ROTOWIRE
Drew Gilbert - Moving into reserve role Gilbert is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Impact Gilbert is absent from the lineup for the fourth time in five games and appears to have faded into a reserve role after slashing just .107/.107/.214 through his first 28 plate appearances in the majors since getting called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Aug. 8. Luis Matos will stick in the starting nine for the fourth consecutive game and appears to have overtaken Gilbert as the Giants' preferred option in right field.
AUGUST 24 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Koss - Returning to bench role Koss is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Impact After starting in nine consecutive games from Aug. 13 through Friday, Koss now finds himself on the bench for the second straight day. He'll likely see limited action in a utility infield role moving forward after third baseman Matt Chapman (hand) was reinstated from the injured list Saturday.
AUGUST 24 • ROTOWIRE
Patrick Bailey - Resting Sunday Bailey is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Impact Bailey will receive a breather for Sunday's day game after he started behind the plate in the first two contests in Milwaukee. Andrew Knizner will handle catching duties for the Giants in the series finale.

Logan Webb - Logs another quality start Webb (12-9) earned the win against the Brewers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out five across six innings.
Impact Webb was able to log five punchouts despite generating just seven whiffs on 94 pitches (58 strikes). He allowed at least one base runner in five of the six innings he tossed, but he managed to limit the damage to a Caleb Durbin RBI double in the second frame. Webb is now up to 18 quality starts on the season, which is tied with Cristopher Sanchez for second most in the majors behind Bryan Woo (19). Webb also ranks fourth in the majors with 180 strikeouts, and his 3.13 ERA (over 166.2 innings) is 17th among qualified starters. He'll look for his 13th win of the season in his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Cubs.
