Matt Chapman - Stays hot in Wednesday's win Chapman went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Nationals.
Impact The veteran third baseman connected on his 19th homer of the year when he launched a solo shot off Jake Irvin in the fifth inning. Chapman has found a groove since the All-Star break, and over his last 14 games he's slashing .377/.459/.811 with five doubles, six long balls, 13 runs and 13 RBI.

Camilo Doval - Escapes with 22nd save Doval gave up a hit, a walk and a hit by pitch in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his 22nd save of the season in a 7-4 win over the Nationals.
Impact The right-hander got into trouble by loading the bases with one out, but Doval coaxed a double-play grounder out of Alex Call to end the game. The Giants' closer has been shaky of late, posting a 5.68 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 8:4 K:BB in 6.1 innings over his last seven appearances, but he's still managed to successfully convert his last five save chances.

Blake Snell - Fans eight in second win Snell (2-3) picked up the win in Wednesday's 7-4 victory over the Nationals, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out eight.
Impact The veteran lefty stumbled a bit in the third inning, allowing all three of his runs including a two-run shot by Juan Yepez, but otherwise Snell had little trouble with the Washington lineup and generated 32 called or swinging strikes among his 93 pitches. It was a strong follow-up performance to his no-hitter against the Reds on Aug. 2, and Snell has reeled off five straight quality starts with a 1.32 ERA, 0.56 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB through 34 innings during that hot streak. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against Atlanta.

LaMonte Wade - Out against left-hander Wade is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Nationals, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact It's southpaw DJ Herz on the hill for the Nationals, so Wade will yield to Mark Canha at first base. Wade is just 6-for-34 at the plate over his last 10 games.

Jerar Encarnación - Gaining traction in everyday lineup Encarnacion will serve as the Giants' designated hitter and No. 8 batter in Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Encarnacion was expected to fill a short-side platoon role for the Giants upon getting called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, but he's now started in two straight matchups with right-handed starting pitchers. After making each of his previous four starts with the big club in right field and going 6-for-17 with three extra-base hits during that stretch, Encarnacion will serve as the Giants' DH on Wednesday. The DH spot could be the primary home in the lineup for Encarnacion moving forward while Marco Luciano has gone 3-for-17 with eight strikeouts since a recent call-up of his own and looks to have played himself out of a regular role.

Impact Conforto has at least one extra-base hit in each of his last four games, and he's logged multiple hits in three of those contests. The homer was his second of August, which has already been a better power month for the outfielder than July (one homer in 24 games). Conforto is at a .236/.313/.442 slash line with 12 homers, 46 RBI, 34 runs scored, 22 doubles, two triples and no stolen bases over 90 contests this season, and he's worth checking on in fantasy while he's on a roll. Despite his inconsistency at the plate this year, he's been a near-everyday player in left field when healthy.
