Jackson Wolf - Outrighted to Triple-A The Padres outrighted Wolf to Triple-A El Paso after he cleared waivers Saturday.
Impact Wolf will remain in the organization after he went unclaimed upon being moved off the Padres' 40-man roster Thursday. The 25-year-old lefty previously made a spot start for the Padres in 2023 but has spent the entire 2024 campaign in the minors since being reacquired from the Pirates shortly after Opening Day. Over 23 outings (18 starts) for El Paso this season, Wolf owns a 7.21 ERA and 1.89 WHIP across 83.2 innings.

Impact Pinch hitting for Jake Cronenworth with one out in the eighth inning, Solano came up clutch and launched a two-run homer off Andrew Nardi to bring the Padres within one run. The long ball was Solano's fifth of the year -- a milestone he had reached just twice in his first 10 MLB seasons. In 212 plate appearances, Solano is slashing .313/.363/.436.

Dylan Cease - Stuck with loss Cease (11-9) took the loss Sunday against Miami, allowing five runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out five.
Impact Cease got off to a rocky start, yielding four singles as part of a two-run first inning, with both runs being earned. The Padres defense didn't do him any favors in the second frame, with errors by Ha-Seong Kim and Luis Arraez extending the inning for an eventual two-run homer by Jake Burger. San Diego would eventually settle in defensively and Cease didn't allow another run to score, but the damage was already done. Sunday's loss was Cease's first since July 7 and it broke a streak of five consecutive appearances allowing no more than one run. In 25 outings, Cease has logged a 3.41 ERA and a league-leading 181 strikeouts. He's scheduled to face the Rockies at Coors field next weekend.
