Will Wagner - Rejoins Padres
The Padres recalled Wagner from the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.
Impact
Wagner was sent to the Padres' facility in Arizona following Xander Bogaerts' return from the injured list Tuesday, but the former will now be brought back onto the big-league roster to replace Ramon Laureano (finger). Wagner has slashed .222/.319/.278 across 145 plate appearances between the Blue Jays and Padres this season and will likely come off the bench most days while in San Diego.

RamĂłn Laureano - Placed on IL
The Padres placed Laureano (finger) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Thursday.
Impact
Laureano suffered a fractured right index finger during Wednesday's game against the Brewers, and his move to the injured list will officially make him unavailable for San Diego's upcoming NL Wild Card Series matchup against the Cubs. Gavin Sheets is expected to take over as the Friars' primary left fielder while Laureano is out, and the team will recall Will Wagner from the Arizona Complex League to fill the vacancy on their bench.

Luis Arraez - Smacks 30th double
Arraez went 4-for-5 with a double and one run scored in Friday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact
Arraez has hit safely in his last 14 games, with Friday's performance being his fifth multi-hit effort in that span. The infielder was able to hit his 30th double of the year, a milestone he's reached in four straight seasons. He's added four triples, eight home runs, 61 RBI, 65 runs scored, 11 stolen bases and a .292/.328/.393 slash line across 153 contests this season.

Fernando Tatis Jr. - Grand slam in return to lineup
Tatis went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in Friday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact
Tatis had missed three games due to an illness. He struck out three times, but his one hit was a big one, giving the Padres a 5-2 lead in the fourth inning when he took Zac Gallen deep for a grand slam. Tatis has gone 22-for-78 (.282) with six homers and 13 RBI over 20 games in September. He's up to 24 homers on the year while adding 70 RBI, 109 runs scored, 32 stolen bases, 27 doubles, two triples and a .266/.366/.441 slash line across 153 contests.

Mason Miller - Collects four-out save
Miller walked one and struck out three over 1.1 hitless and scoreless innings to earn the save in Friday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact
Miller was brought in when Kyle Hart and David Morgan made a mess of the eighth inning, and he was able to get the last out. Miller was already the fifth reliever into the game for the Padres, and they kept him in to finish off the save rather than having Robert Suarez enter the contest. This was Miller's 22nd save of the season but just his second since joining the Padres at the trade deadline. He's pitched to a 0.81 ERA over 22.1 innings while racking up a 42:10 K:BB and 10 holds during his time in San Diego, giving the team an excellent one-two punch at the back end of the bullpen.
