Pitching well in Triple-A Feltner (2-0) allowed one earned run on two hits and three walks while striking out 10 across five innings to earn the win Friday against Triple-A Round Rock.

Impact Feltner turned in a dominant performance that continued his strong start to the season with Triple-A Albuquerque. He's maintained a 3.10 ERA with a 24:8 K:BB while allowing three home runs across 20.1 frames, marks that are made more impressive given the hitter-friendly nature of the PCL. Feltner made his major-league debut in 2021, and he should have the chance to enter the Rockies' rotation at some point in the 2022 campaign.

Moves to MiLB camp The Rockies optioned Feltner to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.

Impact Feltner was called up to make his major-league debut Sept. 5. He struggled in two starts with the Rockies, allowing eight earned runs across 6.1 innings. Jon Gray will move up in the rotation and start Sunday in Feltner's place, and Feltner's absence could allow Peter Lambert (elbow) to work as a starter to close the campaign.

Impact The 25-year-old had a terrible major-league debut last Sunday, but he was able to make some improvements in his second turn through the rotation. Feltner managed to keep the ball in the yard and record his first big-league strikeout, although he needed Colorado's offense to wake up later in the game to avoid the loss. He's still given up eight runs on nine hits and five walks across 6.1 innings, so there's clearly more room for progress. Feltner tentatively lines up for a road start in Washington next weekend if he stays in the rotation.

Impact Feltner was expected to make just one turn through the rotation after he was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque last weekend, but he'll end up drawing a second start after Chi Chi Gonzalez (oblique) was moved to the injured list Wednesday. The right-hander didn't inspire much confidence in his MLB debut against Atlanta, working only 2.2 innings while giving up six runs on five hits -- including three home runs -- and two walks in a losing effort.

Impact Feltner's debut was one he won't want to remember after giving up three home runs before even managing to complete three innings. Ozzie Albies took him deep to right on the first pitch of the game. Feltner then found himself trying to get out of a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the third and was unable to do so. Austin Riley drove in a run on a sacrifice fly and then Adam Duvall and Travis d'Arnaud followed with back-to-back home runs to make it 6-0 and end Feltner's outing. He should continue to get some looks in the back end of the rotation with the Rockies currently down two starters due to inury.

Called up by Colorado Feltner will be called up from Double-A Hartford on Sunday, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

Impact A fourth-round pick by the Rockies in 2018, Feltner posted stellar numbers in the minors this year to earn his first call-up. After going 3-1 with a 2.17 ERA with High-A Spokane to begin the season, Feltner got the bump up and hardly missed a beat with a 2.85 ERA in 72.2 innings with Hartford. Feltner is a candidate to step into the rotation immediately with Austin Gomber (back) done for the season. Ashton Goudeau is another option for Colorado.
