Yankees host the Rockies, aim to continue home win streak
The New York Yankees host the Colorado Rockies trying to extend a four-game home winning streak

No-decision Friday
Feltner didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Cardinals after allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over five innings.
Impact
Feltner was scratched ahead of his previous scheduled start last Saturday in Atlanta due to an illness, but that didn't affect him this time around as he managed to pitch five innings. He was far from efficient, though. He's issued at least three walks in five of his last six starts, posting a 24:18 K:BB across 30 innings with a 6.30 ERA and 1.87 WHIP over that stretch. Given the traffic he allows on the basepaths, it's hard to rely on Feltner for anything more than being an innings-eater. His next start is scheduled on the road against the Yankees.

Ready to go for Friday's start
Feltner (illness) is listed as the Rockies' probable pitcher for Friday's game against the Cardinals.
Impact
Feltner was scratched from his previous start last Saturday in Atlanta due to illness, though he eventually appeared out of the bullpen and yielded just one unearned run over four innings. He's evidently recovered well since then and should not be facing any workload restrictions versus St. Louis.

Scratched with illness
Feltner was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against Atlanta due to an illness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Manager Warren Schaeffer said that Feltner spent much of Friday night vomiting, so the Rockies will pull him off his start and instead send Zach Agnos to the mound in the first inning. Feltner could still be available out of the bullpen if he manages to arrive at the park before the end of the game.

Roughed up in start
Feltner (5-8) took the loss after allowing seven runs (five earned) on six hits and four walks. He struck out six.
Impact
Feltner cruised through the first four innings, keeping the Nationals off the board until a five-run fifth inning that he could not recover from. This marks consecutive starts in which the 29-year-old allowed five or more earned runs. The right-hander has not recorded a quality start since July 3 against San Francisco. This year, Feltner now owns a 6.08 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 70:43 K:BB over 97.2 innings.

Lit up in loss
Feltner (5-7) allowed seven runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three over five-plus innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Impact
Feltner gave up Shohei Ohtani's 30th homer of the season in the third inning, though the Dodgers didn't stop there. The Rockies made a late push against the Los Angeles bullpen but couldn't get their starter off the hook. Feltner has lost five of his last eight starts, and he's allowed four or more runs in five of those games. For the season, he has a 5.97 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 64:39 K:BB through 92 innings over 19 starts. He's lined up to make his next start on the road versus the Nationals.

Notches fifth win
Feltner (5-6) earned the win Wednesday over the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out two.
Impact
Feltner managed to work out of trouble for most of the outing, holding Arizona to a run in the first inning before giving up a second on a Gabriel Moreno two-out double in the fifth. It's a step in the right direction for the 29-year-old Feltner, who'd struggled to a 9.39 ERA over 23 innings in his previous five starts. Overall, the right-hander sports a 5.59 ERA with a 1.48 WHIP and 61:36 K:BB across 18 starts (87 innings) this season. Feltner is currently lined up to face the Dodgers at home his next time out.

Earns sixth loss
Feltner (4-6) picked up the loss after allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two over 5.1 innings in a 3-2 loss to the Cardinals on Friday.
Impact
Feltner recorded his fourth loss in his last five starts Friday in St. Louis. The 29-year-old allowed two runs in the second inning courtesy of two sacrifice flies from Nathan Church and Bryan Torres, and then gave up a solo home run to Ivan Herrera the next inning. On the year, Feltner owns a 5.71 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 59:33 K:BB over 82 innings. The right-hander is slated to start his next game Wednesday against Arizona.
