Strikes out seven in loss
Gasser (3-5) allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.1 innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Friday.
Impact
Gasser posted a quality start, but he was also tagged for solo home runs by Andy Pages and Tommy Edman. This was the first time Gasser has allowed a long ball in his last four starts, and he's given up just nine runs over 22 innings in that span. For the season, he's posted a 4.54 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 68:19 K:BB through 73.1 innings over 14 starts. He's projected to make his next start in another tough matchup at home versus Atlanta next week.

Shaky in no-decision
Gasser took a no-decision against the Twins on Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out three.
Impact
Minnesota did its damage in the second inning, plate each of its three runs on the evening during the second inning to leave Gasser with a poor showing overall. The southpaw is beginning to lose his control a bit as of late, walking multiple batters in back-to-back outings in August after issuing a lone free pass across his four July appearances altogether. Gasser has a 4.57 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 61:18 K:BB over 67 innings, making him a risky fantasy option against the Dodgers his next time out.

Remains effective Saturday
Gasser allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Angels on Saturday.
Impact
Gasser has seemingly turned a corner, allowing just four runs over his last 16 innings across three games, though he hasn't exactly faced tough competition in that stretch. The southpaw is now at a 4.48 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 58:16 K:BB through 62.1 innings over 12 starts this season. One of Gasser, Shane Drohan or Brandon Sproat is likely to give up their rotation spot when Kyle Harrison (forearm) comes off the injured list next week, but all have pitched fairly well in recent starts.

Records quality start in victory
Gasser (3-4) notched the win over Colorado on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.
Impact
Gasser threw an efficient 51 of 77 pitches for strikes to complete six frames for just the third time through 11 outings this season. The left-hander surrendered just one extra-base hit and didn't issue a free pass for his third consecutive appearance. Gasser has looked good in his two starts since the All-Star break, allowing three runs across 11 innings with a 9:0 K:BB. Though Kyle Harrison (elbow) is reportedly nearing a rehab assignment, Gasser could challenge Brandon Sproat or Shane Drohan to remain in the rotation if he continues to pitch well.

Limits Marlins in no-decision
Gasser did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Marlins, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five over five innings.
Impact
Gasser's only blemish came on an Esteury Ruiz solo homer in the third inning, and he closed his outing by retiring eight of the final nine batters he faced. He exited the outing in line for a loss until Milwaukee broke through in the ninth for a walk off win. The left-hander bounced back nicely after surrendering seven runs over three innings against the Pirates in his final start before the All-Star break. He'll carry a 4.91 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB into his next scheduled start at home against the Rockies. Until Kyle Harrison (elbow) returns from the injured list, Gasser should continue to have a spot in Milwaukee's rotation.

Stay in rotation extended
Gasser is slated to start Sunday's game against the Marlins in Milwaukee.
Impact
After turning in a 2.52 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over a four-start stretch with the big club, Gasser was recalled from Triple-A Nashville last weekend ahead of the Brewers' final game before the All-Star break. The 27-year-old lefty was unable to keep the momentum going, as he was lit up by the Pirates for seven earned runs on eight hits and no walks across three innings. Despite the rough performance to finish out the second half, Gasser will maintain his spot in the rotation coming out of the All-Star break while Milwaukee awaits the return of Kyle Harrison (elbow) from the injured list.

Torched for season-high seven runs
Gasser (2-4) took the loss Sunday against the Pirates, allowing seven runs on eight hits and no walks in three-plus innings. He struck out three.
Impact
Gasser coughed up four runs in the second inning and couldn't make it through the fourth frame, when Pittsburgh erupted for 10 runs. The seven runs allowed were a season worst for the 27-year-old southpaw, who also turned in his shortest outing of the year. Gasser still figures to maintain a rotation spot with the Brewers until Kyle Harrison (forearm) comes off the injured list, holding a 5.24 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 43:14 K:BB over 46.1 innings.
