Another bullpen on tap Williams is scheduled to throw his fourth bullpen session of the spring Thursday, Sophia Minnaert of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Impact Williams dealt with right shoulder soreness late in the 2020 campaign but received full medical clearance in October. However, the Brewers continue to bring him along slowly during spring training to protect his health for the regular season. Manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Williams won't pitch in a Cactus League game until after March 17, but the 2020 NL Rookie of the Year remains on track to be ready for Opening Day.

Could play third base Friday Chapman could play third base during Friday's Cactus League matchup if he feels good after Wednesday's game, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Chapman will serve as the designated hitter once again during Wednesday's matchup against the Rockies as the team continues to ease him back into action following offseason hip surgery. Assuming he checks out fine after Wednesday's game, he's expected to make his defensive debut after Thursday's off day. The 27-year-old has gone 1-for-3 with a double and one strikeout to begin Cactus League play.

Ramping up workload Murphy (chest) has resumed hitting and catching, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Impact Murphy has been slowed to begin spring training following a pair of offseason surgeries to address a collapsed lung. While manager Bob Melvin said Wednesday that Murphy still isn't ready for game action, the catcher has been progressing well in his recovery so far. The 26-year-old has said that he expects to be ready to play in time for Opening Day.
