Jonah Bride - Bound for big leaguesThe Athletics plan to call up Bride from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of Tuesday's series opener in Boston, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.
ImpactSince the Athletics have off Monday, Bride's promotion likely won't be made official until Tuesday. Bride is nominally a catcher, having converted to the position in the fall of last year, though he may see much of his time at the big-league level at the infield corners. He's swung a hot bat across the two highest levels of the minors over the last two seasons, hitting .291/.418/.474 with just one more strikeout than walk, though he's managed just a modest 14 home runs in 111 games. Only one of those 14 long balls have come at the Triple-A level.

Zack Gelof - Recovering from torn labrumGelof hasn't played for Double-A Midland since May 26 while recovering from a torn labrum in his left shoulder, Melissa Lockard of The Athletic reports.
ImpactGelof suffered the injury in question after landing awkwardly while diving at a groundball. Since the labrum tear is in his non-throwing shoulder, Gelof will avoid what likely would have been a season-ending surgery, but the 22-year-old third baseman should still be viewed as out indefinitely. Before getting hurt, Gelof produced a .315/.372/.458 slash line with four home runs and eight stolen bases across his 183 plate appearances with Midland.

Amed Rosario - Pair of doubles SundayRosario went 3-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.
ImpactRosario led the charge on offense Sunday, extending his hitting streak to seven games. In that span, he's gone 12-for-29 (.414), though he hadn't recorded an extra-base hit in June prior to this contest. The shortstop is up to a solid .260/.294/.324 slash line through 50 games, adding 13 RBI and 25 runs scored, but he remains in search of his first home run. He's added five stolen bases, seven doubles and three triples.

Bryan Shaw - Quietly steadyShaw has not allowed a run in his last eight appearances spanning 6.2 innings.
ImpactIn that stretch, he's logged a 9:4 K:BB while allowing four hits. Shaw has just three holds on the year and none since May 5, so he's not in the mix for much high-leverage work. He's done well in a less glamorous role, posting a 3.72 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB across 19.1 innings overall, serving as a trusty veteran in a bullpen not lacking for solid pitching. The Guardians' 2.98 bullpen ERA as a team ranks fourth-best in the majors.
