Mediocre in no-decision Margevicius allowed three runs on five hits and three walks over five innings during Thursday's 6-4 loss to San Francisco. He also struck out three.
Impact Margevicius was dealing prior to giving up two runs to open the sixth. The 24-year-old threw 76 pitches (45 for strikes) and showed progression after the Giants shelled him for seven runs in 4.2 innings last week. He'll carry a 5.35 ERA into his start next week against the Astros.

Struggles in loss Margevicius (1-3) was charged with the loss against the Giants on Wednesday after surrendering seven runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six across 4.2 innings.
Impact Margevicius got off to a solid start, retiring his first seven batters with five strikeouts. Unfortunately, things started to unravel in the third inning with a wild pitch and a three-run home run to Mike Yastrzemski. The southpaw just couldn't pump the brakes after that, giving up another run in the fourth and three more in the fifth. The tough outing saw his ERA raise from 3.86 to 5.34 across eight games (five starts) this season. Margevicius will get a chance to rebound with a rematch against the Giants on Tuesday.

Takes loss against Angels Margevicius (1-2) was tagged with the loss Friday against the Angels. He allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while fanning five across six innings.
Impact The left-hander started the season in the bullpen but has already made four starts this season, allowing two or fewer runs in three of those outings. He lowered his ERA to 3.86 and should stick in the rotation moving forward given how good he's looked in this new role. His next scheduled start is tabbed for Sep. 3 at home against the Athletics.

Notches first win Margevicius (1-1) earned the win Friday by holding the Rangers to four runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts across 5.1 innings.
Impact Margevicius picked up his first win of the season as he threw 56-of-82 pitches for strikes, resulting in a career-high tying seven strikeouts. The left-hander, who had been working out of the bullpen in his first three appearances this year, has compiled a 4.12 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across six games (three starts). The 24-year-old will take the mound next Friday at Angel Stadium.

Takes tough toss Margevicius (0-1) was saddled with the loss Saturday versus Houston, pitching six innings and allowing two runs on four hits while striking out three.
Impact Margevicius picked up the second quality start of his career in the contest, but he was dinged with a loss with Seattle's offense providing only one run of support behind him. Nonetheless, it was a promising outing for the 24-year-old, who is making a push to stay in the rotation by yielding only two earned runs over 9.1 innings as a starter this season. The southpaw is next lined up to face Texas at home on Friday.

Getting another start Margevicius is slated to make another start Saturday in Houston.
Impact Kendall Graveman (neck) remains on the 10-day injured list without a clear timeline for a return, so Margevicius looks like he could have an extended leash as the sixth starter in the Seattle rotation. Since he had been working out of the bullpen in his first three appearances of the season, Margevicius was capped at 3.1 innings in his start versus the Rockies on Aug. 8, during which he gave up no runs on three hits and a walk while striking out three. Margevicius should have his pitch count bumped up a bit Saturday, but he's unlikely to work more than 5-to-6 innings.

Impact Margevicius made a spot start in place of the injured Kendall Graveman (neck) and delivered a strong performance, although he hasn't been very effective as a starter in the past. The lefty notched a 6.41 ERA in 53.1 innings across 12 starts with the Padres last season.
