Impact VanMeter had been putting together an impressive spring, but he was always on the outside looking in for an Opening Day roster spot in Milwaukee. The 28-year-old slashed just .187/.266/.292 across 192 major-league plate appearances last season with the Pirates.

Jon Singleton - Reassigned to minors camp Singleton was reassigned Tuesday to the minor-league side of Brewers camp, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Singleton was released by the Brewers back in January before re-signing with the club on a minor-league pact a few weeks later. He hasn't appeared in a game at the major-league level since all the way back in 2015.

Impact Monasterio was batting just .130/.286/.261 through 28 plate appearances this spring in Cactus League play. The 25-year-old infielder has yet to make his MLB debut.

Impact Bolt was 5-for-23 (.217) with two walks and nine strikeouts through 15 games this spring in the Cactus League. The 29-year-old outfielder signed a minor-league deal with Milwaukee in January.

Impact Skye Bolt, Andruw Monasterio, Jon Singleton and Josh VanMeter were also reassigned in this round of cuts from major-league camp in Arizona. Alvarez inked a minor-league contract with Milwaukee in December. He carries a career .183 batting average and .524 OPS in 142 plate appearances at baseball's highest level.

Elvis Peguero - Optioned to Triple-A level Peguero was optioned to Triple-A Nashville by the Brewers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Peguero joined the Brewers organization in November as part of the trade package from the Angels for outfielder Hunter Renfroe. The 26-year-old reliever holds a career 9.15 ERA in 19.2 innings of work at the major-league level.

Blake Perkins - Optioned to Nashville Perkins was optioned to Triple-A Nashville by the Brewers on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Perkins managed to score a major-league contract from Milwaukee this winter, but he will not be part of the Opening Day roster. The 26-year-old outfielder put up an .813 OPS with 15 home runs and 21 stolen bases in 101 games last season between the Double-A and Triple-A affiliates of the Yankees.
