Oscar Colás - Day-to-day with sprained wrist Colas exited Thursday's Cactus League game against the Giants due to a sprained right wrist.
Impact The fact that the White Sox have labeled Colas day-to-day suggests that his injury isn't too severe, though he may still need to sit out for a few exhibition games. The 26-year-old has done well in the race for a roster spot thus far, going 4-for-15 with an RBI and two runs scored over nine spring contests.

Colson Montgomery - Hoping to return this weekend Montgomery (back) is expected to return to Cactus League action as soon as Saturday and no later than Monday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Impact Montgomery hasn't played in more than a week because of back spasms but is making nice progress. The shortstop took some swings off the Trajekt machine as part of his baseball activities Thursday and it appears as though his return to the lineup is imminent. Montgomery is competing for the White Sox' shortstop job this spring, so he can't afford to miss much more time.

Hagen Smith - Sent to minor-league camp The White Sox reassigned Smith to minor-league camp Thursday.
Impact The fifth overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Smith spun three scoreless frames and struck out four across two Cactus League outings. Smith has the potential to be a quick-mover through the system, although the White Sox have little reason to rush him since they're unlikely to be competitive for a while.

Noah Schultz - Reassigned to minors camp The White Sox reassigned Schultz to minor-league camp Thursday.
Impact Schultz never had a chance to make the Opening Day roster but made a nice impression during his two Cactus League appearances, tossing three scoreless frames. The top prospect is likely to begin the season back in the Double-A Binghamton rotation and could push for a major-league debut before the end of the year.

Wikelman Gonzalez - Optioned to Double-A The White Sox optioned Gonzalez to Double-A Birmingham on Thursday.
Impact Gonzalez served up a couple solo home runs in his lone inning of work during Cactus League play. Acquired from the Red Sox this offseason, the 22-year-old Gonzalez will be deployed in Birmingham's rotation in 2025 and will be looking to bounce back from a 2024 campaign which saw him post a 4.73 ERA and 92:46 K:BB over 83.2 innings at the Double-A level.
