Brett de Geus - Dumped from 40-man roster The Marlins designated de Geus for assignment Tuesday.

Impact The 26-year-old was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville in late August and has now lost his place on the 40-man roster. De Geus has made 11 appearances between the Marlins and Mariners this season and has given up five earned runs with a 6:2 K:BB over nine innings.
