Impact Kelly has been dealing with shoulder soreness since the start of camp. Previous reports indicated that the Dodgers were fairly certain he'd be ready to go when the regular season begins, but they now appear to be less confident. There haven't been suggestions that he's likely to require a lengthy stay on the injured list if he does wind up needing one, however.

Impact The Dodgers have plenty of depth throughout their roster, and their rotation is no exception. Price has been a starter in all but 10 of his 321 career major-league appearances, but he also hasn't pitched in over a year after opting out of last season. It's possible he opens the year in the bullpen to build up his arm strength before eventually moving into a rotation role. Price himself believes he'll be ready to throw 80 or 90 pitches by Opening Day, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports, but he's also said he's willing to fill whatever role the Dodgers need him to fill.

Full-time reserve so far in spring Apostel (back) has made three appearances for the Rangers in Cactus League play, going 1-for-3 at the plate across those contests.
Impact Apostel ended the 2020 season on the injured list with lower-back soreness, but he appears to have made a full recovery from the issue over the winter. Though the Rangers are hopeful the 21-year-old corner infielder can eventually emerge as an everyday player at the big-league level, he doesn't appear to be in consideration for a full-time role in Texas to begin 2021. He's been used as a reserve in each of his three games in spring training.

Impact It's not clear exactly what Price has left in the tank, as he's 35 years old and opted out of last season. When he was last on the mound in 2019, his 4.28 ERA was his worst mark since his rookie season a decade prior, though his underlying numbers were strong. His 3.62 FIP was his best mark in three years, as he paired a career-high 27.9 percent strikeout rate with a 7.0 percent walk rate.
