He hasn't gotten off to a great start this season, hitting .204/.371/.296 with zero homers, but his 14:15 BB:K at least indicates that he's seeing the ball quite well. Mookie Betts will start at second base, with Jason Heyward taking Betts' usual spot in right field.

Chris Taylor - Back in starting lineup Taylor (side) will bat eighth and play shortstop Saturday against the Cubs, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Impact Taylor left Monday's game against the Mets with a left side injury. He returned off the bench Friday against the Cubs and struck out in both of his plate appearances. He now owns a .119/.191/.405 slash line and a 42.6 percent strikeout rate through 15 games.

Yan Gomes - Not in starting nine Gomes will sit Saturday against the Dodgers, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Impact Gomes will be on the bench against Dustin May, meaning he's now sat against the last four righties the Cubs have faced. He was starting against righties early in the year, but it's possible he could continue to find himself primarily starting against southpaws going forward. Gomes' .671 OPS in 12 games isn't particularly good, though it's better than Saturday's catcher Tucker Barnhart's .486 OPS.

Impact Bellinger went deep for the second straight game as he continues to torment his former team. In five contests against the Dodgers, he's gone deep three times. Overall, Bellinger is sporting a strong .943 OPS and has five home runs. He's looking more like the 2019 NL MVP than the player who struggled the past few seasons, which is a good sign for fantasy managers.

Impact Suzuki was not one of the four Chicago players with home runs, though he still had an impact on the game. The outfielder didn't make his 2023 debut until April 14 due to an oblique strain he suffered in late February, but he's wasted no time getting going, as he has hits in six of the seven games he's played and a .370 batting average overall.
